Introduction
The Fujifilm XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR Telephoto Lens is engineered with 19 elements in 14 groups, featuring one large-diameter Super ED lens element and two large-diameter ED lens elements to effectively minimize chromatic aberration. This design, combined with high-precision polishing technology adapted from broadcast lenses, ensures outstanding image-resolving performance and beautiful bokeh. The lens incorporates a new Focus Preset function for instantaneous focal adjustments, enabling photographers to quickly capture subjects. Its linear motors provide fast, near-silent, and highly precise autofocus (AF) performance, complemented by a mechanism that stabilizes the motor group when inactive to reduce vibrations. Additionally, the lens offers 5-stop image stabilization, which intelligently adapts to shooting conditions for optimal control. Constructed from lightweight yet robust magnesium alloy, the lens is sealed at 17 points, making it weather and dust-resistant and capable of operating in temperatures as low as 14°F (-10°C). This kit also includes the XF1.4X TC F2 teleconverter, further extending its versatility.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present.
- Attaching the Lens: Align the red dot on the lens barrel with the red dot on your Fujifilm X-mount camera body. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks securely into place.
- Attaching the Teleconverter (Optional): If using the XF1.4X TC F2 teleconverter, first attach the teleconverter to the camera body, aligning the red dots and twisting until it clicks. Then, attach the XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR lens to the teleconverter, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment.
- Attaching the Lens Hood: Align the lens hood with the front of the lens and twist gently until it locks. Ensure it is firmly attached to prevent accidental detachment.
- Battery Installation: Ensure your camera has a fully charged battery installed.
Operating
- Power On: Turn on your camera. The lens will perform a brief initialization.
- Focus Mode Selection: Use the switch on the lens barrel to select your desired focus mode: AF (Autofocus), MF (Manual Focus), or C (Continuous Autofocus).
- Image Stabilization (OIS): The Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system is automatically engaged when the camera is powered on. For optimal results, ensure the OIS switch on the lens is set to ON unless using a very stable tripod.
- Aperture Control: Adjust the aperture using the aperture ring on the lens. The lens features an F2 maximum aperture for excellent low-light performance and shallow depth of field.
- Focus Preset Function: Utilize the Focus Preset buttons on the lens barrel to quickly recall a pre-registered focus distance. Refer to your camera's manual for instructions on setting and recalling preset focus points.
- Shooting: Frame your shot, achieve focus, and press the shutter button to capture images.
Maintenance
- Lens Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a specialized lens cleaning solution to clean the front and rear elements. Avoid touching the glass with your fingers. Use a blower brush to remove dust before wiping.
- Body Cleaning: Wipe the lens barrel and camera body with a dry, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry wipe.
- Storage: When not in use, store the lens with both front and rear caps attached in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a desiccant packet if storing in humid environments.
- Weather Resistance: While weather-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain, snow, or dusty conditions. If exposed, wipe dry immediately.
Troubleshooting
- Autofocus Issues: Ensure the focus mode switch is set to AF or C. Check for sufficient light and contrast in your subject. Clean lens contacts on both the lens and camera body.
- Image Blur: Verify that the OIS switch is ON. Check shutter speed settings to ensure they are fast enough for the focal length (rule of thumb: 1/focal length or faster). Ensure proper focus acquisition.
- Lens Not Attaching Securely: Ensure the lens and camera mounts are clean and free of obstructions. Align the mounting marks correctly and twist firmly until a click is heard.
- Teleconverter Issues: If using the teleconverter, ensure it is securely attached to both the camera and the lens. Some camera functions or autofocus speed may be affected when using a teleconverter.
