Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and appearance of your kettle.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Interior (Glass Carafe & Infuser): The glass carafe and tea infuser should be hand washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The glass is stain-resistant.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water. Bring to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times. For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution.

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Kettle does not turn on.Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the power base and the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
Water is not heating.Verify that a temperature setting has been selected. If the kettle has recently boiled, the thermal cut-off may need a few minutes to reset.
Kettle shuts off too quickly. This may indicate limescale buildup. Perform a descaling procedure as described in the Maintenance section. Ensure the kettle is filled above the MIN line.
Unusual noise during operation.Minor bubbling or humming is normal during heating. Excessive noise might be due to mineral deposits; consider descaling.
