Product Features
The Klipsch R-41SA speakers incorporate advanced technologies for superior audio performance:
- Dolby Atmos Enabled: Designed to deliver immersive, multi-dimensional sound, including overhead effects, when integrated into a compatible home theater system.
- 90° x 90° Tractrix Horn: Our exclusive horn technology ensures high-frequency energy is aimed directly at the listener, reducing artificial reverb caused by indirect sound bouncing off walls. This results in clear, detailed, and dynamic sound.
- Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) Aluminum Tweeter with Kapton Suspension: Minimizes distortion for enhanced, detailed high-frequency performance. Kapton, a lightweight and rigid material, is used in the tweeter suspension to provide high efficiency and improve resolution.
- Spun Copper Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) Woofer: Exceptionally light yet rigid cones provide remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion, ensuring powerful and accurate bass.
- MDF Cabinet with Scratch-Resistant, Textured Wood Grain Vinyl: Provides a stylish aesthetic with absolute durability, ensuring seamless integration into any decor while reducing cabinet vibration for improved sonic accuracy.
- Low Profile Magnetic Grilles: Offer a polished, modern appearance and are easily removable for a different aesthetic preference.
Setup
Speaker Placement
The Klipsch R-41SA speakers are versatile and can be used in several configurations:
- As Dolby Atmos Elevation Speakers: Place the R-41SA speakers on top of your existing front or rear tower/monitor speakers. The angled design will project sound upwards, reflecting off the ceiling to create overhead sound effects.
- As Dedicated Surround Speakers: The R-41SA can also function as traditional surround speakers. Place them to the sides or slightly behind your listening position, at ear level or slightly above, for a more enveloping sound field.

Connecting Your Speakers
To connect your R-41SA speakers to your audio receiver or amplifier:
- Ensure your receiver/amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
- Use high-quality speaker wire (not included) to connect the speakers. Match the positive (+) terminal (red) on the speaker to the positive (+) terminal on your receiver, and the negative (-) terminal (black) on the speaker to the negative (-) terminal on your receiver.
- For Dolby Atmos elevation, connect the R-41SA speakers to the "Height" or "Dolby Atmos" speaker outputs on your compatible A/V receiver.
- For use as traditional surround speakers, connect them to the "Surround" or "Rear" speaker outputs.
- Ensure all connections are secure to prevent short circuits and ensure optimal sound quality.
Operating Your Speakers
Once connected, operating your Klipsch R-41SA speakers is straightforward:
- Power On: Plug in and power on your A/V receiver.
- Receiver Setup: Access your receiver's speaker setup menu. If using the R-41SA as Dolby Atmos elevation speakers, configure your receiver to recognize them as "Height" or "Dolby Atmos Enabled" speakers. If using as surrounds, configure them as "Surround" or "Rear" speakers.
- Calibration: Run your receiver's automatic room correction system (e.g., Audyssey, MCACC, YPAO) if available. This will optimize speaker levels, distances, and equalization for your listening environment.
- Enjoy: Play your favorite movies, music, or games and experience the enhanced sound provided by your Klipsch R-41SA speakers.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Klipsch R-41SA speakers, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Dust the speaker cabinets regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong detergents, as these can damage the finish.
- Grilles: The magnetic grilles can be removed for cleaning. Gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, a very slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Environment: Avoid placing speakers in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Keep them away from excessive moisture or humidity.
- Connections: Periodically check speaker wire connections to ensure they remain secure and free of corrosion.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Klipsch R-41SA speakers, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound from speakers. | Loose speaker wire connections; incorrect receiver output selected; receiver not powered on. | Check all speaker wire connections at both the speaker and receiver. Ensure the correct input/output is selected on your receiver. Verify receiver is powered on. |
| Distorted or unclear sound. | Damaged speaker wire; incorrect speaker polarity; overdriving the speakers. | Inspect speaker wires for damage. Ensure positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are correctly matched. Reduce volume to prevent overdriving. |
| Lack of overhead effects (Dolby Atmos). | Receiver not configured for Dolby Atmos; content not Dolby Atmos encoded; incorrect speaker placement. | Verify your A/V receiver is Dolby Atmos compatible and configured correctly for height speakers. Ensure the content you are playing is Dolby Atmos encoded. Confirm speakers are placed on top of front/rear speakers, angled upwards. |
| One speaker not working. | Loose connection to that specific speaker; faulty speaker wire. | Check connections for the non-working speaker. Swap speaker wires with a working speaker to determine if the wire is faulty. |
