Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in the package:
- Hessaire 3100 CFM Portable Evaporative Cooler Unit
- Caster Wheels (4)
- Hose Connection Adapter
- Instruction Manual
Setup
- Attach Caster Wheels: Carefully tilt the cooler and insert the four caster wheels into the designated slots on the bottom of the unit. Ensure they are securely locked into place.
- Positioning: Place the cooler on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated area. For optimal cooling, position the unit near an open window or door to allow fresh air intake and exhaust of humid air.
- Filling the Water Tank:
- Manual Fill: Locate the water fill door on the side of the unit (often marked 'PUSH'). Open the door and pour clean water directly into the tank until the water level indicator shows 'MAX'.
- Hose Connection: For continuous water supply, attach a standard garden hose to the hose connection port on the side of the unit using the provided adapter. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
The control panel is located on the top of the unit. It typically includes controls for fan speed and water pump activation.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
- Fan Speed: Rotate the fan speed dial to select your desired fan speed (Low, Medium, High).
- Evaporative Cooling (Water Pump): Press the water pump button to activate the evaporative cooling function. The pump circulates water over the cooling pads, enhancing the cooling effect. Ensure the water tank is filled before activating the pump.
- Water Level Indicator: Monitor the water level indicator on the side of the unit. Refill the tank when the water level is low to ensure continuous evaporative cooling.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your evaporative cooler.
- Drain Water: Regularly drain the water tank, especially if the cooler will not be used for an extended period. Locate the drain plug at the bottom rear of the unit, remove it, and allow all water to empty.
- Clean Cooling Pads: The cooling pads should be cleaned periodically, or when you notice reduced cooling efficiency. Refer to the specific instructions for removing and cleaning the pads, typically involving rinsing with clean water.
- Clean Water Tank: Clean the water tank to prevent mold or mildew buildup. Use a mild detergent and water, then rinse thoroughly.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Before storing, ensure the unit is completely dry. Drain all water, clean the pads and tank, and store in a cool, dry place.
