Winding the Watch

Your Bulova Wilton Automatic Watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement. It does not require a battery.

  1. Manual Winding: To initiate power or if the watch has stopped, turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in the normal (pushed-in) position. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.

  2. Automatic Winding: Once manually wound, the watch will continue to wind itself through the natural motion of your wrist while worn. For optimal performance, wear the watch daily for at least 8-10 hours.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position (farthest out).

  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.

  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into the normal position.

Operating Your Watch

Power Reserve

The Bulova Wilton Automatic Watch features a 60-hour power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Follow the manual winding instructions to restart it.

Water Resistance

This watch has a water resistance depth of 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving.

Important: Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged in water.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Storage

When not wearing your watch for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The original watch box is ideal for storage.

Regular Servicing

Like all mechanical timepieces, your Bulova automatic watch benefits from periodic servicing to ensure accuracy and longevity. It is recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized Bulova service center every 3-5 years.
