What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your RockJam 61 Key Compact Keyboard, please ensure all the following items are present:

• Power Supply
• Sheet Music Stand
• Piano Note Stickers
• Simply Piano Lessons (Access Code/Information)

Setup

Follow these steps to set up your keyboard:

1. Placement: Place the keyboard on a stable, flat surface or a compatible keyboard stand. Ensure there is enough space for the music stand and connections.
2. Power Connection: Locate the DC 9V input port on the rear panel of the keyboard. Connect the included power supply to this port and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Music Stand Attachment: Insert the included sheet music stand into the designated slots on the top rear of the keyboard.
4. Note Stickers (Optional): For beginners, the piano note stickers can be applied to the white keys to aid in learning. Carefully peel and place each sticker above its corresponding key.
5. Headphones/External Audio (Optional): If desired, connect headphones to the 'PHONES' jack for private practice, or connect external speakers to the 'AUX OUT' jack for amplified sound.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the keyboard's controls for optimal use:

• Power On/Off: Press the red 'POWER' button located on the left side of the control panel to turn the keyboard on or off.
• Volume Control: Use the 'VOL +' and 'VOL -' buttons to adjust the master volume.
• Selecting Tones: The keyboard features 200 tones. Use the 'TONE' button and the numeric keypad (0-9) to select different instrument sounds. A list of tones is printed on the keyboard's panel.
• Selecting Rhythms: The keyboard includes 200 rhythms. Use the 'RHYTHM' button and the numeric keypad to select various accompaniment styles. A list of rhythms is printed on the keyboard's panel.
• Demo Songs: Press the 'DEMO' button to play through the 10 built-in demo songs.
• Record & Playback: Use the 'REC' button to start recording your performance and 'PLAYBACK' to listen to your recorded track.
• Sustain & Vibrato: Activate the 'SUSTAIN' and 'VIBRATO' effects using their dedicated buttons to add depth and modulation to your sound.
• Simply Piano App: The keyboard is compatible with the Simply Piano app. Follow the instructions provided with your Simply Piano Lessons access code to connect your device and begin interactive lessons.

Troubleshooting

• No Sound:
  • Ensure the power supply is securely connected and the keyboard is turned on.
  • Check the master volume level; increase it if necessary.
  • If headphones are connected, ensure they are fully plugged in and functioning correctly. Disconnect them to check if sound comes from the internal speakers.
• Keys Not Responding:
  • Power off the keyboard, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on.
  • Ensure no foreign objects are lodged under the keys.
• Distorted Sound:
  • Lower the master volume.
  • Check connections to external speakers or headphones for loose cables.
