3. Setup: Setting Your Combination Lock
Your cash box comes with a factory default combination of 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personalized combination:
- Open the Cash Box: Ensure the dials are set to the default code (0-0-0). Push the latch button to open the lid.
- Locate the Reset Lever: Inside the lid, on the back of the lock mechanism, you will find a small lever.
- Move the Lever to Position 'B': While the box is open, slide this lever from its current position ('A') to position 'B'. You may need a small tool like a pen tip to do this.
- Set Your New Combination: With the lever in position 'B', rotate the three number dials to your desired personal combination. Choose a memorable but secure code.
- Return the Lever to Position 'A': Once your new combination is set, slide the lever back from position 'B' to position 'A'. This action locks in your new code.
- Test Your New Combination: Close the lid and scramble the dials. Then, enter your new combination and push the latch button to ensure it opens correctly.
Important: Do not forget your combination. There is no master key or override function to open the box if the combination is lost. KYODOLED is not responsible for forgotten combinations.
4. Operating Instructions

Note: The money tray is designed for coins and small items; paper currency should be stored in the lower compartment.
- The tray features multiple compartments for different coin denominations or small accessories.
- For paper currency, it is recommended to store bills in the larger compartment beneath the removable tray. The tray itself may not accommodate unfolded cash.
- To access the lower compartment, simply lift the money tray out.

It also advises against storing highly valuable items like precious metals, jewelry, large amounts of cash, or important contracts, emphasizing the box's purpose for daily small items.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Lock Mechanism: Keep the combination dials and latch mechanism free from dust and debris. Do not apply oil or lubricants to the lock, as this can attract dirt and hinder operation.
- Storage: Store the cash box in a dry environment to prevent rust or corrosion.
6. Troubleshooting
Cannot Open the Cash Box:
- Incorrect Combination: Double-check that the correct three-digit combination is entered and that each number is precisely aligned in the center of the display window.
- Forgotten Combination: If you have forgotten your combination, there is no emergency key or reset procedure. The only solution is to try all possible combinations (000-999), which can be time-consuming.
- Latching Mechanism Obstruction: Ensure no items inside the box are preventing the lid from opening or the latch from disengaging.
Combination Lock Feels Stiff or Jams:
- Debris: Check for any foreign objects or dust obstructing the dials or the latch mechanism. Clean gently with a soft brush if necessary.
- Reset Lever Position: If you recently changed the combination, ensure the internal reset lever is fully returned to position 'A'. If it is partially between 'A' and 'B', the lock may not function correctly.
