4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Unscrew the bottom cap of the lantern.
- Insert the provided Li-ion 18650 battery into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Screw the bottom cap back on securely.
4.2 Initial Charging
- Locate the Micro USB input port under the rubber hook at the top of the lantern.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the Micro USB input port on the lantern and to a suitable USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The battery indicator will show charging status. Allow approximately 5 hours for a full charge.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Light Modes
The ML6 features a 3-in-1 button for control. The central button activates the light, while the '+' and '-' sections adjust brightness or cycle through modes.
- To Power On/Off: Press and hold the central button for approximately 2 seconds.
- To Cycle White Light Modes: With the lantern on, short press the central button to cycle through Power, Low Power, and Boost.
- To Adjust Brightness: While in a white light mode, press and hold the '+' or '-' sections of the button to seamlessly dim or brighten the light.
- To Activate Red Light: From the off state, press the central button three times quickly to activate the red light.
- To Cycle Red Light Modes: With the red light on, short press the central button to cycle through Red Light, Red Blink, Red Strobe, and Red S.O.S.
- Special Functions: Blink, Strobe, and S.O.S. modes are activated by cycling through the white or red light functions.
5.2 Power Bank Function
The ML6 can charge external devices:
- Locate the USB output port under the rubber hook at the top of the lantern.
- Connect your device's charging cable to the USB output port.
- The lantern will begin charging your device. Note that using the power bank function will reduce the lantern's battery life.
5.3 Mounting Options
- Hanging: Use the integrated rubber hook at the top to hang the lantern from tent poles, branches, or other suitable fixtures.
- Magnetic Attachment: The magnetic base allows the lantern to be securely attached to metal surfaces.
- Standing: Attach the removable stand to the base for stable placement on flat surfaces. The stand also includes a flip-out metal hook for additional hanging versatility.

5.4 Glow-in-the-Dark Feature
The ML6 features fluorescent elements that glow in the dark for a period after the light is turned off, making it easier to locate the lantern in low-light conditions.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the lantern with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, charge the lantern regularly, even if not in frequent use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
- Storage: Store the lantern in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for a long time, ensure the battery is partially charged.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lantern not turning on: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and charged. Check for transportation lock activation (press and hold the button for 5 seconds to deactivate).
- Device not charging via power bank: Verify the USB cable connection and ensure the lantern has sufficient battery charge.
- Reduced battery life: This can be due to frequent use of high brightness modes or the power bank function. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
