Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Power Connection: Connect the included power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the keyboard. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. Alternatively, the keyboard can be powered by batteries (not included).
3. Music Stand Assembly: Insert the sheet music stand into the designated slots on the top rear of the keyboard.
4. Note Stickers (Optional): For beginners, apply the provided piano note stickers to the corresponding keys as indicated on the sticker sheet.
5. Initial Power On: Press the POWER button located on the left side of the control panel to turn on the keyboard.

Operating Instructions

The RockJam 61 Key Keyboard Piano offers a variety of functions to enhance your playing and learning experience. Familiarize yourself with the control panel layout.

1. Main Volume Control

Adjust the overall volume of the keyboard using the MAIN VOLUME knob or the +/- buttons located near the LCD display.

2. Sound Selection (Tones)

The keyboard features 200 built-in tones. To select a tone:

1. Press the TONE button.
2. Use the numeric keypad or the +/- buttons to enter the desired tone number (e.g., 000 for Grand Piano).

3. Rhythm Functions

The keyboard includes 200 rhythms. To select a rhythm:

1. Press the RHYTHM button.
2. Use the numeric keypad or the +/- buttons to enter the desired rhythm number.
3. Press START/STOP to begin or end the rhythm.
4. Adjust the rhythm tempo using the TEMPO +/- buttons.

4. Learning Modes (Teach)

Utilize the built-in teaching modes to learn songs and improve your skills:

• Teach 1, Teach 2, Teach 3: These modes guide you through playing pre-programmed songs by indicating which keys to press on the LCD display.
• Simply Piano App: The keyboard is compatible with the Simply Piano app. Download the app on your smart device and connect it to the keyboard for interactive lessons.

5. Recording and Playback

Record your performances and play them back:

1. Press REC to start recording.
2. Play your desired melody.
3. Press PLAY BACK to listen to your recorded performance.

6. Pitch Bend Wheel

Use the pitch bend wheel on the left side of the keyboard to smoothly alter the pitch of notes while playing, adding expressive effects to your music.

Connectivity

• Headphones (3.5mm Jack): Connect headphones to the PHONES jack for private practice.
• Microphone (3.5mm Jack): Connect a microphone to the MIC jack to sing along while playing.
• Auxiliary Input (3.5mm Jack): Connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX input to play along with your favorite songs.
• USB Port: Connect the keyboard to a computer using a USB cable for MIDI connectivity, allowing use with music software.
• MicroSD Slot: Insert a MicroSD card for additional functionality (refer to specific app or software instructions for usage).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the keyboard surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Replacement: If using batteries, replace them when the power indicator light dims or the keyboard performance is affected. Ensure correct polarity.
