Setup Instructions

Proper setup is crucial for the stability and longevity of your Intex Prism Frame Pool. Assembly typically takes approximately 45 minutes before filling with water.

1. Site Preparation

  • Choose a firm, level surface free of sharp objects, debris, or loose soil.
  • Ensure the area is large enough to accommodate the pool's dimensions (4m x 2m) plus additional space for access and the filter pump.
  • Avoid setting up the pool under overhead power lines or near structures that could fall onto the pool.

2. Frame Assembly

  • Unpack all components and lay them out on the prepared site.
  • Assemble the powder-coated steel tubing frame according to the included diagrams, ensuring all connections are secure. The frame provides the structural support for the pool liner.
  • Carefully spread out the pool liner within the assembled frame, ensuring it is centered and smooth.

3. Filter Pump and Ladder Installation

  • Connect the 530 Gal (2006 litre)/Hr. cartridge filter pump to the designated inlets and outlets on the pool liner using the provided 32mm ID pipework. Ensure all connections are tightened to prevent leaks.
  • Install the safety ladder, ensuring it is stable and securely placed against the pool wall. The ladder features removable steps for enhanced safety when the pool is not in use.

Operating the Pool

Once assembled, your Intex Prism Frame Pool is ready for filling and operation.

1. Filling the Pool

  • Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, gently smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the liner, working from the center outwards.
  • Fill the pool to the recommended water line, typically indicated on the liner or in the pump manual. The pool has a capacity of approximately 6836 liters.

2. Filter Pump Operation

  • Before starting the pump, ensure it is properly primed according to the pump's specific instructions.
  • Operate the filter pump daily to circulate and filter the pool water. The 530 GPH (2006 LPH) cartridge pump helps maintain water clarity.
  • The pool features Hydro Aeration Technology, which improves water circulation and filtration, enhances water clarity, and increases negative ions at the water surface.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential to keep your pool clean, safe, and enjoyable throughout the swimming season.

1. Water Chemistry

  • Test pool water regularly for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels. Adjust chemicals as needed to maintain balanced water.
  • Add appropriate pool chemicals (e.g., sanitizers, algaecides) to prevent algae growth and keep water disinfected.

2. Filter Cartridge Care

  • Clean the filter cartridge frequently by rinsing it with a garden hose.
  • Replace the filter cartridge every two weeks or sooner if the water flow decreases significantly.

3. Pool Cleaning

  • Skim debris from the water surface daily using a pool skimmer net.
  • Brush the pool walls and vacuum the bottom as needed to remove dirt and algae.
  • Consider using a pool cover when the pool is not in use to keep out debris and reduce chemical evaporation.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your pool.

1. Cloudy Water

  • Cause: Insufficient filtration, chemical imbalance, or high organic load.
  • Solution: Run the filter pump for longer periods, backwash/clean the filter cartridge, test and adjust water chemistry (especially chlorine and pH), and consider shocking the pool.

2. Pump Not Working

  • Cause: Power supply issue, clogged impeller, or airlock.
  • Solution: Check power connections and circuit breaker. Disconnect power and inspect the impeller for debris. Prime the pump by bleeding air from the system.

3. Leaks

  • Cause: Punctured liner, loose hose connections, or faulty pump seals.
  • Solution: Inspect the liner for visible punctures and repair with a patch kit. Tighten all hose clamps and connections. Check pump seals and O-rings for damage and replace if necessary.
