2. Safety Information

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Treble Safety Design: The lighter incorporates a safety lock switch. You must push the safety lock switch first, then press the ignition switch to activate the plasma arc.

  • Wind & Splash Proof: The design prevents the electric pulse from being extinguished by strong winds or splashes.
  • High-Voltage Power Generation: A "zee, zee" noise during ignition is normal and indicates high-voltage power generation.
  • Keep Away from Children: This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid Contact: Do not touch the plasma arc directly.
  • Water Exposure: Do not immerse the lighter in water or other liquids.
  • Temperature: Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C (122°F).

4. Setup and Charging

4.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the lighter. The lighter is equipped with a Li-ion battery that can be charged over 500 times.

4.2 Charging Procedure

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the USB port on the lighter.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., 5V=1A charger, power bank, or USB car charger).
  3. The LED battery indicators will illuminate to show the charging progress.
  4. When all four LED lights are steadily on, the lighter is fully charged.

Important: Avoid using fast chargers (e.g., 5V=2A or higher) as this may damage the battery or charging port. Charge the lighter at least once a month to maintain battery health, even if not in regular use.

5.2 Activating the Plasma Arc

  1. Slide Out the Tip: Locate the slide-out tip mechanism. Push the tip forward until it is fully extended. This action also serves as a safety measure to prevent accidental activation.
  2. Engage Safety Lock: Push the safety lock switch (typically located near the activation button) to the 'on' or 'unlocked' position.
  3. Press Activation Button: While holding the safety lock, press and hold the activation button. A plasma arc will generate between the electrodes at the tip.
  4. Ignite Target: Position the plasma arc near the item you wish to ignite (e.g., candle wick, grill charcoal).
  5. Release Button: Release the activation button once ignition is achieved or after 7 seconds, whichever comes first. The arc will automatically cease.
  6. Retract Tip: After use, retract the tip back into the lighter body for safety and protection.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Electrodes

The tips of the lighter are made of heat-resistant ceramic. Carbon residue from candle soot or charring wax can accumulate on the electrodes, potentially affecting performance. To clean:

  1. Ensure the lighter is turned off and cool.
  2. Gently rub between the electrodes with a soft, clean cloth to remove any residue. Do not use abrasive materials or liquids.

6.2 General Care

  • Keep the lighter dry and clean.
  • Avoid dropping the lighter or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Lighter Not Igniting

  • Check Battery: Ensure the lighter is sufficiently charged. Recharge if the LED indicators show low battery.
  • Check Safety Lock: Confirm the safety lock switch is in the 'unlocked' position.
  • Clean Electrodes: Carbon buildup on the electrodes can prevent arc formation. Refer to Section 6.1 for cleaning instructions.
  • Activation Sequence: Ensure you are sliding out the tip, engaging the safety lock, and then pressing the activation button in sequence.

7.2 Short Battery Life

  • Charging Habits: Ensure you are using a compatible charger (5V=1A) and avoiding fast chargers.
  • Charging Frequency: Regular charging (at least monthly) helps maintain battery capacity.
  • Usage Duration: Continuous use will deplete the battery faster. The lighter is designed for short ignition bursts.

7.3 Charging Port Issues

  • Cable Connection: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the lighter and the power source.
  • Port Damage: Inspect the charging port for any visible damage or debris. Avoid excessive force when plugging in the cable.
