1. Introduction

The GTMEDIA GTC is a versatile digital receiver combining multiple television standards (DVB-S2, DVB-T2, DVB-C, ISDB-T) with an Android 6.0 media box. This device allows you to receive satellite, terrestrial, and cable broadcasts while also providing access to Android applications and multimedia features. It supports 4K UHD video decoding, H.265, and offers a comprehensive entertainment experience.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel

The front panel features an LED display that shows channel numbers, time, or operational status. A power indicator light is also present.

3.2 Rear Panel

The rear panel provides all necessary connection ports for your television, antenna, satellite dish, and network.

  • LNB IN: For connecting a satellite dish.
  • RF IN: For connecting a terrestrial antenna or cable TV.
  • ETHERNET: For wired network connection.
  • HDMI OUT: For connecting to your TV or display.
  • S/PDIF: Optical digital audio output.
  • USB: USB 2.0 port for external storage or peripherals.
  • DC 12V: Power input port.

3.3 Side Panel

4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your GTMEDIA GTC receiver:

  1. Connect to TV: Connect one end of the provided HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the receiver and the other end to an HDMI input port on your television.
  2. Connect Antenna/Satellite/Cable:
    • For satellite reception, connect your satellite dish cable to the LNB IN port.
    • For terrestrial or cable reception, connect your antenna or cable TV signal to the RF IN port.
  3. Connect to Network (Optional):
    • For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the ETHERNET port on the receiver.
    • For a wireless connection, you can configure Wi-Fi settings after the initial boot-up.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC 12V port on the receiver, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The device will power on automatically or enter standby mode.
  5. Initial Boot and Channel Scan:
    • Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input source.
    • The receiver will boot up, displaying the GTMEDIA logo and then the Android home screen.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup, including language selection, network configuration (if not wired), and performing a channel scan for your chosen DVB mode (Satellite, Terrestrial, or Cable).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The included IR remote control allows you to navigate the receiver's interface and control its functions. Familiarize yourself with the buttons for power, menu, navigation (OK, arrow keys), volume, channel selection, EPG (Electronic Program Guide), and information display.

5.2 Android Interface Navigation

The GTC operates on Android 6.0. Use the remote control's arrow keys and OK button to navigate through the Android home screen, launch applications, and access settings. The interface typically includes shortcuts for YouTube, Apps, Play Store, File Explorer, and System Settings.

5.3 Switching Between DVB and Android Modes

The GTC allows seamless switching between its DVB receiver functions and the Android operating system. Typically, there is a dedicated button on the remote control (e.g., 'DVB' or 'TV') or an application icon on the Android home screen to access the DVB interface.

5.4 Channel Management

  • Channel Scan: Access the DVB settings menu to perform automatic or manual channel scans for satellite, terrestrial, or cable signals.
  • Channel Editing: Organize your channels by creating favorite lists, moving, locking, skipping, deleting, or renaming channels.

5.5 Media Playback and PVR

The receiver supports media playback from USB drives (FAT/FAT32/NTFS) and network sources. It also features PVR (Personal Video Recorder) functionality and Timeshift when an external USB storage device is connected.

5.6 Software Update

Keep your receiver's software up-to-date for optimal performance and new features. Updates can be performed via USB, OTA (Over-The-Air), or HTTP/FTP. Check the system settings for available updates.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the receiver has adequate ventilation. Do not block the ventilation slots on the top and sides of the device. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or on soft surfaces that may obstruct airflow.
  • Power Safety: Disconnect the power adapter from the wall outlet during lightning storms or when the device is left unattended for long periods.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the receiver to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GTMEDIA GTC receiver, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
