Setup and Assembly

Before assembly, ensure all parts are present and undamaged. Refer to the packing list provided with your product. Assembly is designed to be straightforward, typically requiring no tools.

1. Unpack and Identify Components

Carefully unpack all components and lay them out. Identify each part by its label (e.g., poles, connectors, shelves, cover). This will simplify the assembly process.

3. Erect Vertical Supports and Shelves

Insert the vertical poles into the base connectors. Then, connect the horizontal poles and shelf frames at the desired heights to create the shelving units. The greenhouse features 3 tiers and 12 shelves (6 on each side).

4. Install the Roof Structure

Attach the angled roof poles to the top vertical supports using the designated connectors to form the peaked roof. Ensure all connections are firm.

5. Drape the PE Cover

Carefully drape the reinforced PE cover over the assembled frame. Align the zippered door and screened windows with their respective openings. Secure the cover to the frame using the built-in straps and ties.

Operating Instructions

The Ohuhu Large Walk-in Greenhouse is designed to create an optimal growing environment for your plants.

Climate Control and Ventilation

  • Zippered Roll-up Door: Use the heavy-duty zippered roll-up door for easy access and to regulate airflow. Roll it up and secure it with the ties for maximum ventilation.
  • Screened Windows: The two screened windows allow for cross-ventilation while keeping unwanted pests out. They also serve as observation windows to monitor your plants without fully opening the greenhouse.
  • Temperature and Humidity: The high-density reinforced PE cover traps heat and maintains optimal humidity, extending your growing season. Monitor internal temperature and humidity to ensure ideal conditions for your specific plants.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your Ohuhu Greenhouse.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the PE cover with mild soap and water to ensure maximum light penetration. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the material.
  • Frame Inspection: Regularly check all frame connections and poles for tightness and signs of wear or damage. Replace any damaged parts promptly.
  • Cover Inspection: Inspect the PE cover for any tears or punctures. Small tears can often be repaired with greenhouse repair tape to prevent further damage and maintain climate control.
  • Stability Check: After strong winds or heavy rain, re-check the ground stakes and any weights used to secure the greenhouse. Ensure it remains firmly anchored.
  • Seasonal Storage: For long-term storage, especially during extreme weather conditions, disassemble the greenhouse, clean all components, and store them in a dry, protected area.

Troubleshooting

  • Greenhouse Instability:
    • Ensure all frame connections are fully inserted and secure.
    • Verify that ground stakes are deeply embedded and ropes are taut.
    • Add weights (e.g., stones, sandbags) to the extended bottom cover for increased stability.
  • Excessive Heat/Humidity:
    • Open the zippered roll-up door and screened windows to increase ventilation.
    • Consider partial shading during peak sunlight hours if plants are sensitive to high temperatures.
  • Insufficient Heat/Humidity:
    • Ensure the zippered door and windows are fully closed.
    • Check for any gaps or tears in the PE cover and repair them.
  • Pest Infestation:
    • Ensure screened windows are properly closed when not ventilating.
    • Regularly inspect plants for pests and apply appropriate organic pest control methods.
