3. Product Overview

Control Panel Layout:
- 1. DC 5V Port: For charging the device.
- 2. AUX Input: Connect external audio devices via a 3.5mm audio cable.
- 3. USB Port: Insert a USB flash drive for MP3 playback.
- 4. SD Card Slot: Insert an SD card for MP3 playback.
- 5. Rotary Knob (Power/Volume/Mode):
- Rotate to turn the device ON/OFF and adjust volume.
- Press briefly to switch between modes (Bluetooth, FM, USB, SD, AUX).
- 6. Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause audio.
- 7. Previous/Next Track Buttons: Press to skip tracks or tune FM stations.
4. Setup
4.1. Charging the Speaker
- Connect the charging cable to the DC 5V Port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the charging cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate (color may vary) to show that the device is charging.
- Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off. Disconnect the charging cable.
Note: For optimal battery life, fully charge the speaker before first use.
4.2. Powering On/Off
- To power on, rotate the Rotary Knob clockwise until you hear a click and the speaker announces its mode.
- To power off, rotate the Rotary Knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the speaker powers down.
5. Operating Modes
Press the Rotary Knob briefly to cycle through available modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, SD Card, and AUX.
5.1. Bluetooth Mode
- Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a voice prompt or flashing LED.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "MD-44BT" from the list.
- Once paired, the speaker will confirm with a voice prompt. You can now play audio from your device.
- Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next Track buttons on the speaker or your device to control playback.
Note: The effective Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet).
5.2. FM Radio Mode
- Power on the speaker and switch to FM Radio mode by pressing the Rotary Knob until you hear the FM mode announcement.
- To auto-scan and save available stations, press and hold the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
- Use the Previous/Next Track buttons to navigate between saved FM stations.
5.3. USB / SD Card Mode
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Port or an SD card into the SD Card Slot.
- The speaker will automatically detect the storage device and switch to USB or SD card mode, beginning playback of MP3 files. If it does not switch automatically, press the Rotary Knob to select the correct mode.
- Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next Track buttons to control playback.
Note: Ensure your audio files are in a compatible format (e.g., MP3).
5.4. AUX Mode
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (AUX cable) to the AUX Input port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the AUX cable to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
- Switch the speaker to AUX mode by pressing the Rotary Knob until you hear the AUX mode announcement.
- Control audio playback directly from your connected external device.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the speaker dry. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.
- Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the speaker yourself. This will void the warranty.
