5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Device
The Raynic White Noise Machine offers two power options:
- Using the AC Adapter:
- Connect the small end of the provided AC adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the sound machine.
- Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- Using Batteries (Not Included):
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the device.
- Insert 3 'AA' batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Note: Three new 'AA' batteries can provide approximately 48 hours of continuous use.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Turning On/Off and Volume Control
- To turn the device ON, rotate the volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the sound begins to play.
- To adjust the volume, continue rotating the knob clockwise to increase volume or counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
- To turn the device OFF, rotate the volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the sound stops.
6.2 Sound Selection
The device features 24 soothing sounds, categorized into 8 main types, each with 3 variations. Press the corresponding button to select a sound category:
- White Noise: Press the button with the wave icon.
- Fan: Press the button with the fan icon.
- Ocean: Press the button with the ocean wave icon.
- Chirp: Press the button with the bird icon.
- Water Stream: Press the button with the flowing water icon.
- Summer Night: Press the button with the moon and stars icon.
- Thunder & Rain: Press the button with the lightning bolt icon.
- Forest: Press the button with the tree icon.
Each press of a sound category button will cycle through its 3 variations. For example, pressing the 'White Noise' button repeatedly will play White Noise 1, then White Noise 2, then White Noise 3, and then back to White Noise 1.
6.3 Timer Settings
The auto-off timer allows you to set the device to turn off automatically after a specified duration. Press the 'TIMER' button to cycle through the available options:
- 15 minutes: The 15-minute indicator light will illuminate.
- 30 minutes: The 30-minute indicator light will illuminate.
- 60 minutes: The 60-minute indicator light will illuminate.
- Continuous Play: No timer indicator light will be illuminated. The device will play until manually turned off.

6.4 Headphone Jack
For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack located on the side of the device. When headphones are connected, sound will be routed through the headphones and the internal speaker will be muted.
6.5 USB Charging Ports
The Raynic White Noise Machine is equipped with two USB ports (1.0A output) that can be used to charge other USB-powered devices, such as smartphones or tablets. These ports function when the sound machine is powered by the AC adapter.
