2. Safety Information
Always observe the following safety precautions when using the soldering iron handle:
- High Temperature: The soldering iron tip reaches temperatures between 200-450℃ (392-842℉). Avoid direct contact with the tip to prevent burns.
- Fumes: Soldering produces fumes. Work in a well-ventilated area or use a fume extractor to avoid inhaling harmful vapors.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the soldering station is properly grounded. Do not use the soldering iron handle if the cable or connector is damaged.
- Flammable Materials: Keep flammable materials away from the hot soldering iron tip.
- Storage: Always place the hot soldering iron in a suitable, heat-resistant stand when not in use. Allow it to cool completely before storing.
- Children and Pets: Keep the soldering equipment out of reach of children and pets.
3. Product Overview
The YIHUA 907A Soldering Iron Handle is a 50W replacement component designed for compatibility with various YIHUA soldering stations. It utilizes 900M series iron tips.
3.1 Compatible YIHUA Soldering Stations
The YIHUA 907A is compatible with the following YIHUA soldering station series:
- YIHUA 936
- YIHUA YH936B
- YIHUA YH937D
- YIHUA YH8786D
- YIHUA YH898D
- YIHUA YH878
- YIHUA YH878A
- YIHUA YH878D
- YIHUA YH878AD
- YIHUA YH898BD
- YIHUA YH872D
- YIHUA YH852 Series
- YIHUA YH862D
Important Note: Soldering stations from other brands or models may not be suitable. Using the 907A handle with an incompatible station can lead to issues such as overheating or damage to the handle, indicating an incompatibility rather than a product defect.

4.2 Installing a Soldering Tip
The 907A handle uses 900M series iron tips. To install or replace a tip:
- Ensure the soldering iron handle is cool.
- Unscrew the metal retaining nut at the base of the tip assembly.
- Carefully remove the outer metal sleeve and the old soldering tip.
- Insert the desired 900M series soldering tip onto the heating element.
- Replace the metal sleeve and screw the retaining nut back on until snug. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Plug in your soldering station and turn on its power switch.
- Set Temperature: Adjust the temperature control on your soldering station to the desired setting, typically between 200-450℃ (392-842℉) depending on the solder and components.
- Heat Up: Allow the soldering iron handle to heat up to the set temperature. This usually takes a few minutes.
- Tin the Tip: Once hot, apply a small amount of solder to the tip to 'tin' it. This helps with heat transfer and prevents oxidation.
- Soldering: Place the hot tip against both the component lead and the PCB pad simultaneously. Apply solder to the junction, allowing it to flow evenly. Remove the solder, then remove the iron.
- Power Off: When finished, turn off the soldering station and unplug it. Place the iron in its stand and allow it to cool completely before storage.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Tip Cleaning and Tinning
Regular cleaning and tinning extend tip life and improve soldering performance:
- Wipe Clean: Use a damp sponge or brass wool to wipe excess solder and oxidation from the tip frequently during use.
- Re-tin: After cleaning, always apply a fresh coat of solder to the tip to prevent oxidation.
6.2 Tip Replacement
Replace the soldering tip when it becomes pitted, corroded, or no longer accepts solder effectively. Refer to Section 4.2 for installation instructions.
6.3 General Care
Keep the handle and cable clean and free from debris. Avoid bending the cable sharply or exposing it to excessive heat.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your YIHUA 907A Soldering Iron Handle, consider the following:
- Iron Overheats or Burns Up: This is a strong indication of incompatibility with your soldering station. The 907A handle is designed for specific YIHUA models. Ensure your station is listed in Section 3.1.
- No Heat or Insufficient Heat:
- Check if the soldering station is powered on and plugged in.
- Verify the handle's 5-pin connector is securely attached to the station.
- Ensure the soldering tip is correctly installed and the retaining nut is tightened.
- Confirm the temperature setting on the soldering station is appropriate.
- Solder Not Sticking to Tip: This usually indicates an oxidized or dirty tip. Clean and re-tin the tip as described in Section 6.1. If the tip is severely damaged, replace it.
