  2. Insert four (4) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Note: Use the provided AA High Capacity Batteries or other high-quality rechargeable/alkaline AA batteries.

3.2. Mounting the Flash

3.2.1. Hot Shoe Mounting

  1. Slide the flash's mounting foot into your Canon DSLR camera's hot shoe.
  2. Tighten the locking ring or lever on the flash unit to secure it firmly to the camera.

3.2.2. L-Bracket Mounting (Off-Camera)

  1. Attach your camera to the L-Bracket's tripod screw.
  2. Mount the flash unit onto the L-Bracket's accessory shoe.
  3. Connect the TTL Cord from the flash to your camera's hot shoe. This allows the flash to communicate with the camera while being positioned off-camera for creative lighting angles.

3.3. Attaching Diffusers

The bundle includes a Hard Diffuser and a set of Colored Flash Diffusers. These can be slid onto the flash head to soften or color the light output.

  • Hard Diffuser: Slides over the flash head to spread light more evenly, reducing harsh shadows.
  • Colored Diffusers: Use these to add creative color effects to your flash photography.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the flash unit to turn it on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when the flash is ready.

4.2. Flash Modes

This TTL Speed Light Flash primarily operates in TTL (Through-The-Lens) mode, which automatically adjusts flash output based on the camera's metering system. Consult your camera's manual for specific flash settings and compatibility.

  • TTL Mode: The flash communicates with your camera to determine the appropriate light output for a balanced exposure.
  • Manual Mode (if available): Allows you to manually set the flash power output. Refer to the flash unit's display and controls for adjustment.

4.3. Adjusting Flash Head Angle (Bounce Flash)

The flash head can be tilted and swiveled to direct light indirectly, known as bounce flash. This technique softens shadows and creates more natural-looking illumination.

  • Tilting: The flash head can tilt upwards to bounce light off ceilings.
  • Swiveling: The flash head can swivel horizontally to bounce light off walls.

Always ensure the flash head clicks into place at desired angles.

4.4. Using the Wireless Shutter Release Remote

The included wireless shutter release remote allows you to trigger your camera's shutter remotely, reducing camera shake and enabling self-portraits or group shots from a distance. Refer to the remote's specific instructions for pairing and operation with your Canon DSLR camera model.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the flash unit with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
  • Do not use strong detergents or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Keep the flash tube and sensor clean for optimal performance.

5.2. Battery Care

  • Remove batteries from the flash unit when not in use for extended periods to prevent leakage.
  • Use the provided AA Battery Charger for the rechargeable batteries. Follow the charger's instructions.
  • Store batteries in the provided AA Battery Case to prevent short circuits.

5.3. Storage

Store the flash unit and accessories in the Soft Flash Pouch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
