  • Access Point (AP) Mode: Connects to a wired network and broadcasts a wireless signal, allowing wireless devices to connect. This mode also includes Client and Client Repeater sub-modes.
  • Repeater Mode: Extends the coverage of an existing wireless network by receiving the signal and re-transmitting it.
  • Router Mode: Functions as a primary router, connecting to an internet source (e.g., modem) and distributing network access to connected devices.
  • WISP Mode: Connects wirelessly to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) access point and shares the internet connection with local wired and wireless clients.

7. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Wavlink AC600, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically wipe the device's exterior with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the official Wavlink website for the latest firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
  • Environmental Protection: Although the device is IP65 rated, ensure it is mounted securely and that all cable connections are properly sealed to prevent water ingress.
  • Power Cycle: If you experience network issues, try power cycling the device by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
