5. Setup
5.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the amplifier and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.
5.2 Placement
Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not place it in an enclosed cabinet without proper airflow. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture.
5.3 Connecting Speakers
The PBA120 offers multiple speaker output options. Choose the appropriate terminals based on your speaker system:
- Low Impedance Speakers (4Ω, 8Ω, 16Ω): Connect conventional speakers directly to the corresponding impedance terminals (4Ω, 8Ω, or 16Ω) and the COM (common) terminal. Ensure the total impedance of connected speakers matches the selected terminal.
- 100V/70V Line Speakers: For distributed audio systems using 100V or 70V line speakers, connect the positive wire of the speaker line to the 100V or 70V terminal and the negative wire to the COM terminal. Ensure all speakers in the line are 100V or 70V compatible and the total wattage does not exceed the amplifier's output.
Caution: Incorrect speaker connections can damage the amplifier. Consult a professional if unsure.
5.4 Connecting Audio Sources
- Microphones: Connect microphones to MIC 1 (XLR) or LINE 1/MIC 2, LINE 2/MIC 3 (6.3mm jack) inputs. Adjust individual volume knobs on the front panel.
- Line-Level Devices (CD Player, Mixer, etc.): Connect devices using RCA cables to LINE 3 or LINE 4 inputs. For devices with 6.3mm jack outputs, use LINE 1/MIC 2 or LINE 2/MIC 3.
- Telephone Paging: Connect your telephone paging system to the TEL input.
- FM Antenna: Connect the supplied FM antenna or an external antenna to the FM ANTENNA terminal for radio reception.
5.5 Power Connection
After all audio and speaker connections are made, connect the supplied power cable to the AC Power Input on the rear panel and then to a suitable wall outlet (220-240VAC 50Hz).
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
Press the main power switch on the front panel to turn the amplifier ON or OFF. The "ON" indicator will illuminate when the unit is powered on.
6.2 Source Selection
For the integrated MP3/FM module, press the MODE button on the front panel or remote control to cycle through available sources: USB, SD, FM Radio, and Bluetooth. For external line inputs (LINE 1-4, TEL), their respective volume knobs act as selectors when turned up.
6.3 Volume Control
- Individual Input Volumes: Adjust the specific volume knobs for MIC 1, LINE 1/MIC 2, LINE 2/MIC 3, LINE 3, LINE 4, and TEL to control the level of each connected source.
- Master Volume: Use the large VOL knob in the "MAIN CONTROL" section to adjust the overall output volume of the amplifier.
6.4 Microphone Usage
Connect your microphone to the desired input. The MIC 1 input has a priority function, meaning it will automatically lower the volume of other audio sources when a signal is detected, making it suitable for announcements.
6.5 Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the MODE button on the MP3/FM module until "BLUE" or "BT" appears on the display. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.

- You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the amplifier.
6.6 USB/SD Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing MP3 audio files into the corresponding slot on the front panel.
- The amplifier will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playback. If not, press the MODE button to select the correct source.
- Use the control buttons on the module or the remote control (Play/Pause, Next/Previous, Stop, Volume) to manage playback.
6.7 Equalizer Settings
Use the BASS and TREBLE knobs on the front panel to adjust the low and high frequencies of the overall audio output. For the MP3 module, press the EQ button on the remote control to cycle through preset equalizer modes (e.g., Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, etc.).
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to ensure proper airflow.
- Storage: If the unit is not used for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
