1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the SHARP XL-B710 All-in-One Audio System. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your new audio system. Please read it thoroughly before operating the device and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the device or injury to yourself:

  • Power Source: Connect the unit only to an AC outlet of the voltage specified on the rating label.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or dripping/splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
  • Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Cleaning: Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a dry cloth only.
  • Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Rear Panel

The rear panel typically includes connections for power, external antennas, and auxiliary input. Refer to the diagram in your quick start guide for exact port locations.

Remote Control

The included remote control allows convenient operation of all functions from a distance. It features buttons for power, source selection, volume, playback control, and radio tuning.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the audio system and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the unit on a stable, flat surface, ensuring there is sufficient space around it for proper ventilation (at least 10 cm from walls or other objects).
  3. Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with high humidity or dust.

5.2 Connecting the FM Antenna

  1. Connect the supplied FM antenna to the FM ANTENNA jack on the rear of the unit.
  2. Extend the antenna fully and position it for optimal FM reception.

5.3 Connecting Power

  1. Insert the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

6.2 Source Selection

Press the MODE button on the front panel or remote control repeatedly to cycle through available sources: CD, USB, Bluetooth, FM, AUX.

6.3 CD Playback

  1. Select the CD source.
  2. Open the CD tray and place a CD (audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW) with the label side up.
  3. Close the CD tray. The unit will begin playing automatically or display the track list.
  4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons for playback control.

6.4 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
  2. Select the USB source. The unit will scan the drive and begin playing MP3 files.
  3. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons for playback control.

6.5 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select the Bluetooth source. The display will show "PAIRING" or similar, indicating it's ready to connect.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "SHARP XL-B710" from the list. Once connected, the unit will confirm the pairing.
  4. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the audio system.

6.6 FM Radio Tuning

  1. Select the FM source.
  2. Press the TUNE +/- buttons to manually tune to a station, or press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
  3. To save a preset, press the MEMORY button, then use the PRESET +/- buttons to select a preset number, and press MEMORY again to confirm.

6.7 AUX Input

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, TV) to the AUX IN port on the rear of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
  2. Select the AUX source.
  3. Play audio from your connected device.

6.8 Volume Control

Rotate the VOLUME knob on the front panel or use the VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the sound level.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc (not supplied).

7.2 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
