1. Product Overview

The DEWALT DCC018N XR Triple Source Inflator is a compact, lightweight, and high-performance tool engineered for durability and ease of use. It features a digital gauge that allows for precise setting and display of desired pressure in PSI, Bar, or kPa, and an automatic shut-off function to prevent over-inflation. This versatile inflator is designed to handle a wide range of tasks, from high-pressure tire inflation to high-volume inflation and deflation of larger items.

The unit is capable of inflating up to 0.35 liters per minute at 6.2 bar (90 PSI) or 0.6 liters per minute at 2 bar (29 PSI). It is ideal for inflating car tires, bicycle tires, air mattresses, and inflatable boats.

2. Important Safety Information

General Safety Precautions:

4. Setup

4.1 Power Source Connection

The DCC018N-XJ can be powered by a DEWALT 18V XR Li-ion battery, a 12V car power outlet, or an optional 240V AC adapter.

1. Using an 18V XR Li-ion Battery (Not Included):
   Slide a charged DEWALT 18V XR Li-ion battery pack onto the tool's battery port until it clicks securely into place.
2. Using the 12V Car Power Adapter:
   Open the side compartment on the inflator to access the 12V input port. Plug the provided 12V car power adapter into this port. Then, plug the other end of the adapter into your vehicle's 12V accessory outlet. Ensure your vehicle's engine is running for optimal performance.
3. Using the Optional 240V AC Adapter (Not Included):
   If you have the optional 240V AC adapter (SKU N557515), plug it into the appropriate port on the inflator and then into a standard wall outlet.

4.2 Attaching Hoses and Nozzles

The inflator comes with both a high-pressure hose and a high-volume hose, along with various adapters.

• For High-Pressure Inflation: Connect the high-pressure hose to the designated high-pressure port on the inflator. Select the appropriate nozzle (e.g., Presta adapter, ball needle) and securely attach it to the end of the high-pressure hose.
• For High-Volume Inflation/Deflation: Connect the high-volume hose to the designated high-volume port. Attach the appropriate high-volume adapter for the item you wish to inflate or deflate.

Integrated storage is provided on the unit for the high-pressure adapter, Presta bike adapter, and ball needle.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 High-Pressure Inflation (Tires, Balls)

1. Ensure the inflator is connected to a power source (battery, 12V car adapter, or AC adapter).
2. Attach the high-pressure hose and the correct nozzle to the item to be inflated (e.g., tire valve).
3. Press the power button (⏻) to turn on the inflator. The digital display will illuminate.
4. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired pressure. The display shows the target pressure. You can cycle through pressure units (PSI, Bar, kPa) using the unit selection button.
5. Press the start/stop button (▶/❚❚) to begin inflation. The inflator will automatically stop once the set pressure is reached.
6. Disconnect the hose from the item.

5.2 High-Volume Inflation/Deflation (Air Mattresses, Inflatables)

1. Ensure the inflator is connected to a power source.
2. Attach the high-volume hose and the appropriate adapter to the item.
3. For inflation, connect the hose to the 'inflate' port. For deflation, connect the hose to the 'deflate' port.
4. Press the power button (⏻) to turn on the inflator.
5. Press the start/stop button (▶/❚❚) to begin the high-volume operation. Note that for high-volume tasks, there is no pressure setting; the unit operates continuously until manually stopped.
6. Once the item is inflated or deflated to the desired level, press the start/stop button again to turn off the unit.
7. Disconnect the hose from the item.

5.3 LED Work Light

The inflator is equipped with an LED work light to assist in low-light conditions. Press the light button (💡) to turn the light on or off.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your DEWALT inflator.

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the inflator with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure no dust or debris enters the air intake or exhaust ports.
