Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure you have the correct filter model for your refrigerator. The AQUA CREST AQF-FF38 is designed for a precise fit.

Installation Steps:
- Locate the Filter Compartment: The water filter compartment is typically found in the top-right or bottom-left corner of your refrigerator's fresh food compartment.
- Prepare the Filter: Remove the new AQUA CREST filter from its packaging.
- Install the Filter:
- Observe the correct direction for installation, often indicated by a blue label arrow on the filter.
- Insert the filter into the compartment. You may need to press down firmly to ensure proper seating. This will not harm the connector or the refrigerator.
- Close the filter lid. If the lid cannot be closed, press the filter down hard to ensure proper installation.
- Flush the System: After installation, dispense approximately 2-3 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush out air and any carbon fines. This ensures optimal filter performance and clear water.
- Reset Filter Indicator: Refer to your refrigerator's owner's manual for instructions on how to reset the "Change Filter" indicator light, if applicable.

Note: If you are unable to close the filter housing cover with the filter installed, press in the direction of the pink arrow (as shown in the image) to remove the filter and then proceed to install it again by following Step 2.
Operating Instructions
Once installed, your AQUA CREST water filter will begin filtering water immediately. The filter utilizes a coconut shell carbon block to effectively reduce chlorine, taste and odor, sediment, and suspended solids from your drinking water. It does not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).

For optimal performance, ensure the refrigerator's water dispenser is used regularly. If the dispenser has not been used for an extended period, dispense a few cups of water before consumption.

Maintenance and Filter Replacement
To maintain water quality and filter performance, it is recommended to replace your AQUA CREST water filter every 6 months or after filtering 200 gallons of water, whichever comes first. Overusing the filter can lead to reduced filtration effectiveness and potential secondary contamination.

The filter comes with month install stickers to help you track the installation date and remind you when a replacement is due.
Replacement Procedure:
- Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator, if possible.
- Locate the filter compartment and open the lid.
- Remove the old filter by following the reverse of the installation steps (e.g., pressing in the direction of the pink arrow if it's stuck, then pulling out).
- Insert the new AQUA CREST filter as described in the "Setup and Installation" section.
- Flush the system and reset the filter indicator.
