Setup
Powering the Unit
Your PROSCAN Boombox can be powered by either AC electricity or batteries.
AC Power (Recommended for stationary use)
- Locate the AC power input jack on the back of the unit.
- Insert the small end of the supplied AC wall adapter into the AC input jack.
- Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard 120V-60Hz wall outlet.
Battery Power (For portable use)
- Turn the unit upside down to access the battery compartment.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
General Controls
- Power Switch: Located on the side of the unit, slide to turn the boombox ON or OFF.
- Volume Knob: Rotate the silver knob on the top left to adjust the sound volume.
- Function Selector: Slide the switch on the side to select between CD, AM, FM, or AUX modes.

CD Player Operation
- Ensure the Function Selector is set to 'CD'.
- Press the 'OPEN/CLOSE' button on the front of the unit to open the CD compartment.
- Carefully place a CD (CD, CD-R, or CD-RW) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment firmly until it clicks.
- The LCD display will show the total number of tracks. Press the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button to begin playback.
- Use the 'SKIP/SEARCH' buttons to navigate between tracks.
- To program tracks, press the 'PROGRAM' button, select your desired track using 'SKIP/SEARCH', then press 'PROGRAM' again to confirm. Repeat for up to 20 tracks. Press 'PLAY' to start the programmed sequence.
AM/FM Radio Operation
- Ensure the Function Selector is set to 'AM' or 'FM'.
- Extend the telescopic FM antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM, rotate the unit for best reception.
- Rotate the 'TUNING' knob on the top right to select your desired radio station. The analog dial will indicate the frequency.
Aux-in Operation
- Ensure the Function Selector is set to 'AUX'.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-in jack on the unit.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
- Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the boombox speakers.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches.
- Battery Care: Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Placement: Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in dusty/humid environments.
Troubleshooting
