2. General Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury when using power tools.
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating for extended periods. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing or jewelry. Secure long hair.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Battery Pack Use and Care: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. Do not use battery packs with any other power tools.

4. Setup Instructions
4.1. Battery Charging
The battery pack is not fully charged upon purchase. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Use only the charger provided with your drill driver set.
- Connect the charger to a standard electrical outlet.
- Insert the battery pack into the charger. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Allow the battery to charge until the indicator light on the charger signals a full charge (refer to charger instructions for specific light indications).
- Once charged, disconnect the battery from the charger and unplug the charger from the outlet.
4.2. Installing and Removing the Battery Pack
- To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- To Remove: Press the battery pack release button (located on the side of the battery pack) and slide the battery pack out.
4.3. Installing Drill/Driver Bits
The drill features a 3/8" (10mm) keyless chuck for easy bit changes.
- Ensure the drill is off and the battery pack is removed for safety.
- Grasp the rear half of the chuck and rotate the front half counter-clockwise until the chuck jaws are open wider than the bit you intend to insert.
- Insert the drill bit or driver bit into the chuck jaws. Ensure the bit is centered and fully seated.
- Rotate the front half of the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. Hand-tighten firmly.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. On/Off Switch and Variable Speed Control
The trigger switch controls the drill's power and speed. Pressing the trigger initiates operation, and the speed is variable based on pressure applied.
- To turn on, press the trigger switch.
- To increase speed, apply more pressure to the trigger.
- To turn off, release the trigger switch.
5.2. Two-Speed Gear Control
The drill features a two-speed gear selector located on top of the tool.
- Position 1 (Low Speed, 0-400 RPM): Recommended for driving screws and applications requiring higher torque.
- Position 2 (High Speed, 0-1500 RPM): Recommended for drilling and applications requiring faster rotation.
Always ensure the drill is stopped before changing gear positions to prevent damage.

Image 5.1: Illustration of the two-speed transmission settings, indicating low speed (0-400 RPM) for screwdriving and high speed (0-1500 RPM) for drilling.
5.3. Torque Adjustment Ring
The torque adjustment ring allows you to select the desired torque setting for driving screws, preventing over-tightening or stripping. The drill offers 21+1 torque settings.
- Rotate the ring to align the desired number with the indicator mark. Lower numbers are for smaller screws or softer materials; higher numbers are for larger screws or harder materials.
- The drill icon setting is for drilling applications, providing maximum torque.

Image 5.2: Close-up view of the 21+1 torque adjustment ring, showing the numbered settings and the drill icon for maximum torque.
5.4. Forward/Reverse Rotation Control
The forward/reverse lever is located above the trigger switch. It controls the direction of rotation.
- Push the lever to the left for forward rotation (drilling and driving screws).
- Push the lever to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws or jammed bits).
- When the lever is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental startup.
5.5. LED Work Light
The integrated LED light activates when the trigger is pressed, illuminating the work surface for better visibility.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.
- Cleaning: Keep the ventilation openings clear and free of dust. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the tool casing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Carbon Brushes: This is a carbon brush drill. Sparks are normal during initial use and should decrease over time. If sparks become excessively large or persistent, it may indicate a malfunction or worn brushes, requiring professional inspection.
- Storage: Store the drill driver, battery, and charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use the provided storage bag for protection.
- Battery Care: Do not allow the battery to fully discharge. Recharge the battery regularly, even when not in use, to maintain its lifespan.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drill does not start. | Battery not charged or not properly installed. Forward/reverse lever in center (locked) position. | Ensure battery is fully charged and securely installed. Move forward/reverse lever to either forward or reverse position. |
| Reduced power or short run time. | Battery needs recharging. | Recharge the battery pack fully. |
| Bit slips in chuck. | Chuck not tightened sufficiently. Bit shank is dirty or damaged. | Ensure chuck is hand-tightened firmly. Clean or replace the bit. |
| Excessive sparking from motor. | Normal for carbon brush motors, especially at startup. Could indicate worn carbon brushes. | If sparking is excessive or increases over time, discontinue use and contact customer support for inspection. |
