3.2 Placement and Mounting

The Conservewell unit can be placed on a countertop or mounted to a wall or sturdy vertical surface. For wall mounting, use the convenient key slot brackets located on the back of the unit. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the unit when filled with water and utensils. Allow adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation and access.

After each use or at the end of each operating day, perform the water change procedure (Section 4.4) and thoroughly clean the 1/9-size pans and the interior of the unit with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before refilling.

5.2 Descaling

Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits (scale) may accumulate in the pans and on the heating elements. Descale the unit regularly using a food-safe descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions. Ensure all descaling solution is thoroughly rinsed from the unit before refilling with water for operation.

5.3 Regular Inspection

Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Check the unit for any leaks or unusual operation. If any issues are found, discontinue use and contact a qualified service technician.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Unit Not Heating:
    • Check if the unit is properly plugged into a functional electrical outlet.
    • Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • Timer Not Functioning:
    • Ensure the timer has been set and started as per Section 4.2.
    • If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Water Not Reaching 140°F:
    • Ensure the water level is correct and not overfilled.
    • Check for excessive scale buildup and descale if necessary.
    • Verify the ambient temperature is not excessively cold, which could affect heating efficiency.
