Setup & Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Miele Blizzard CX1 vacuum cleaner:

1. Unpack all components from the box.
2. Connect the flexible vacuum hose to the main unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
3. Attach the handle to the other end of the flexible hose.
4. Connect the Comfort telescopic suction wand to the handle. Adjust the wand length to your preferred height using the adjustment mechanism.
5. Attach your desired floorhead (AllTeQ Universal Floorhead or Parquet Twister Floorhead) to the end of the telescopic wand.
6. Ensure all connections are firm before plugging in the vacuum cleaner.

Operating Instructions

Your Miele Blizzard CX1 offers intuitive controls for various cleaning tasks.

Power Control

The vacuum features a rotary selector switch with 4 power settings to adjust suction power according to the surface being cleaned:

• Min. (Curtains/Light Fabrics): For delicate materials.
• Low (Upholstery/Cushions): For upholstered furniture and cushions.
• Medium (Carpets/Rugs): For low-pile carpets and rugs.
• Max. (Hard Floors/Heavy Dirt): For hard floors and heavily soiled areas.

Using Floorheads & Accessories

• AllTeQ Universal Floorhead: Use the foot switch on the floorhead to transition between hard floors and low-pile carpets. The switch engages a bristle strip for carpet cleaning.
• Parquet Twister Floorhead: Ideal for gentle cleaning of sensitive hard floors like parquet or laminate. Its unique double swivel joint allows for agile maneuvering around furniture.
• Integrated Accessories: The upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle, and dusting brush are stored directly on the vacuum for easy access. Use them for cleaning tight spaces, delicate surfaces, or upholstery.

Emptying the Dust Container

The dust container should be emptied when the 'max' indicator is reached or when suction power noticeably decreases. To empty:

1. Switch off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Press the release button to remove the dust container from the main unit.
3. Position the container over a waste bin.
4. Press the 'Empty' button (yellow button) on the bottom of the container to release the collected dirt.
5. Close the bottom flap securely and reinsert the dust container into the vacuum cleaner until it clicks into place.

Filter Cleaning

The Hygiene Lifetime filter and Gore CleanStream filter are designed for long-term use and minimal maintenance. Refer to the full user manual for detailed cleaning instructions if necessary. Generally, these filters do not require frequent replacement.
