5.3 Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Cut PEX Tubing: Use the PEX pipe cutter to cut the tubing square, ensuring a clean, even edge. Remove any burrs.
- Prepare for Fitting: Slip the stainless steel cinch clamp over the tubing, then slide the tubing onto the insert fitting.
- Cinch the Clamp: Position the cinch tool over the clamp ear. Fully squeeze the tool handles until the ratchet mechanism automatically releases, indicating the clamp is fully engaged.
- Test Connection: Pressure test the tubing and inspect for any leaks before use. A slight gap after crimping is normal.

7.2 Cinch Tool Not Releasing
- Full Crimp Not Achieved: Apply more pressure until the ratchet mechanism clicks and releases.
