1. Introduction
The Neoteck 192kHz Digital to Analog Audio Converter is designed to convert optical Toslink or coaxial digital audio signals into analog L/R RCA and 3.5mm audio outputs. This device supports various mainstream audio formats, including DTS, Dolby AC3, LPCM, PCM, and RAW. It can convert Dolby/DTS 5.1CH digital audio into 2.0CH analog audio without requiring specific audio output format settings on your source device, unlike many other DACs. This converter is ideal for connecting modern digital audio sources like HDTVs, Blu-ray DVD players, PS3/PS4, and network players to analog audio systems, headphones, or speakers.
2. Features
- Converts optical Toslink or coaxial digital audio signals to analog L/R RCA and 3.5mm audio.
- Supports DTS, Dolby AC3, LPCM, PCM, and RAW audio formats.
- Directly converts Dolby/DTS 5.1CH digital audio to 2.0CH analog audio output without requiring PCM setting.
- Integrated volume knob for simultaneous adjustment of 3.5mm headphone and RCA output levels.
- Achieves a 192KHz sampling rate, supporting 32, 44.1, 48, 96, and 192 KHz.
- Supports 24-bit S/PDIF incoming bit stream on left and right channels.
- Eliminates noise when no input signal is present and automatically mutes when a non-audio signal is detected.
- Plug and Play functionality, no complex setup required for audio output format.
- Wide compatibility with devices such as YouTube, Netflix, network players, HDTVs, Blu-ray DVD, DVD, PS3, DM500S, and DM800HD.

The back panel includes a DC 5V Micro-USB power input, an Optical-In port, a Coaxial-In port, and L-Out and R-Out RCA analog audio outputs.
5. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps to connect your Neoteck DAC Converter:
- Connect Power: Connect the provided USB power cable to the DC 5V Micro-USB port on the converter. Plug the USB-A end into a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on your TV/device. The red Power LED will illuminate.
- Connect Digital Audio Input: Choose either the Optical-In or Coaxial-In port on the converter. Connect your digital audio source (e.g., TV, game console, Blu-ray player) to the corresponding input port using an optical Toslink cable or a coaxial cable.
- Connect Analog Audio Output:
- For RCA output: Connect your analog amplifier or active speakers to the L-Out (white) and R-Out (red) RCA ports on the converter using RCA cables.
- For 3.5mm headphone output: Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm 'Out' jack on the front panel.
- Configure Source Device Audio Output: Ensure your source device (e.g., TV, game console) is set to output audio via its optical or coaxial port. For optimal performance with Dolby/DTS 5.1CH signals, the converter will automatically downmix to 2.0CH analog audio. You do not need to set your device to PCM output.

6. Operating Instructions
Once all connections are made and your source device is playing audio, the converter will automatically process the digital signal. Use the volume knob on the front of the converter to adjust the output volume for both the 3.5mm headphone jack and the RCA outputs simultaneously.

7. Troubleshooting
- No Sound Output:
- Ensure the converter is powered on (red Power LED is lit).
- Verify all cables (power, input, output) are securely connected.
- Check the volume level on the converter and your connected audio device (amplifier/headphones).
- Confirm your source device's audio output is set to Optical or Coaxial.
- For some TVs (e.g., Samsung, LG), you may need to navigate to audio settings and select 'External Speakers' or 'Single Sound Out' and choose 'Optical'.
- Distorted or Intermittent Sound:
- Ensure the optical or coaxial cable is not damaged or bent excessively.
- Try a different optical or coaxial cable.
- Check for interference from other electronic devices.
- No 5.1 Surround Sound:
- This converter is designed to convert 5.1CH digital audio (Dolby/DTS) into 2.0CH analog stereo output. It does not pass through or output discrete 5.1 channels in analog form.
- Bright Power LED:
- The power LED is intentionally bright. If it is distracting, consider placing the unit in a less visible location or using a small piece of electrical tape to cover the light.
