Thank you for purchasing the PowerPac PPFS818 18-inch Electric Stand Fan. This manual provides important information regarding the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your fan. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

The PowerPac PPFS818 is an 18-inch electric stand fan featuring durable metal blades, multiple speed settings, oscillation, and a timer function for enhanced comfort and air circulation.

Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:

  • Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning, servicing, or moving it.
  • Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact qualified service personnel.
  • Keep hands, hair, clothing, and other objects away from the fan blades during operation to prevent injury. The metal blades are sharp.
  • Ensure the fan guards are securely in place before operating the fan. Never operate the fan without both front and rear guards properly installed.
  • Do not insert fingers or any objects through the fan guards.
  • Do not use the fan near water or in wet locations such as bathrooms or laundry areas.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Place the fan on a stable, level surface to prevent it from tipping over.
  • Do not use the fan outdoors.
  • Avoid using extension cords unless absolutely necessary. If an extension cord is used, ensure it is rated for the fan's power requirements.

Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your PowerPac Electric Stand Fan. Refer to the illustration for visual guidance.

  1. Install the Base: Place the stand pole into the base.
  2. Tighten by Base Screw: Secure the stand pole to the base using the provided screw from underneath the base.
  3. Adjust Height: Loosen the height adjustment knob on the stand pole, extend to desired height, and then tighten the knob securely.
  4. Tighten with Screw (Motor Unit): Attach the motor unit to the top of the stand pole and secure it with the designated screw.
  5. Put Rear Fan Guard: Place the rear fan guard onto the motor unit, ensuring it aligns with the positioning pins.
  6. Lock with the Plastic Nut: Secure the rear fan guard in place by screwing the large plastic nut onto the motor shaft.
  7. Install the Fan Blade: Carefully slide the fan blade onto the motor shaft. Caution: The metal blades are sharp. Handle with care.
  8. Spin Counterclockwise to Tight: Secure the fan blade by spinning the small cap or screw counterclockwise onto the motor shaft until it is tight. Ensure the blade is firmly attached and does not wobble.
  9. Assemble Front Grill with Rear Grill Together: Align the front fan guard with the rear fan guard and secure them together using the clips or screws provided around the perimeter. Ensure the guards are fully interlocked and secure.

Operating Instructions

Once assembled, plug the fan into a suitable power outlet. The control panel is located on the stand pole.

  • Power On/Off: Press the 'ON' button to turn the fan on, and 'OFF' to turn it off.
  • Speed Settings: Select your desired fan speed (1, 2, or 3) using the corresponding buttons on the control panel. Speed 1 is the lowest, and Speed 3 is the highest.
  • Oscillation: To enable oscillation (side-to-side movement), press the oscillation button. Press it again to stop oscillation.
  • Timer Function: The fan features a 1-hour timer. Press the timer button to activate it. The fan will automatically turn off after approximately 1 hour.
  • Height Adjustment: To adjust the fan's height, loosen the height adjustment knob on the stand pole, raise or lower the fan to the desired position, and then firmly tighten the knob.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain your fan's performance and extend its lifespan.

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • To clean the fan blades and inside the guards, carefully remove the front guard. Wipe the blades and guards with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and operating the fan.
  • Do not immerse the fan or its electrical components in water or any other liquid.
  • Store the fan in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
