4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Accu-Chek Guide meter requires 2 CR2032 batteries (included). Refer to the meter's battery compartment for correct polarity. Ensure the child-resistant battery door is securely closed after installation.

4.2 Loading the Softclix Lancet

1. Remove the cap from the lancing device.
2. Insert a new Softclix lancet into the empty device holder until it clicks into place.
3. Twist and remove the protective cap from the lancet to expose the needle.
4. Place the cap back over the lancet and adjust the lancing depth by twisting the cap to your desired setting (1-11).

5. Operating the Device

5. Apply the blood sample to the edge of the test strip. The meter will draw the blood in.
6. Wait for the results to display on the meter's screen (typically within 4 seconds).
