Introduction

The Primo 601088 Bottom Loading Hot/Cold Water Dispenser provides convenient access to both ice-cold and piping-hot purified water. Designed for ease of use, this dispenser features a bottom-loading design, eliminating the need to lift heavy water bottles. It includes an empty bottle indicator and a child safety feature for hot water dispensing, making it suitable for various home or workplace environments.

Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions before using the dispenser. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Electrical Safety: Always plug the dispenser into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.
• Hot Water Hazard: The hot water dispensed can reach temperatures capable of causing burns. Exercise extreme caution. The hot water faucet is equipped with a child safety feature; always engage it when not in use.
• Placement: Place the dispenser on a firm, level surface. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with high humidity. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
• Water Only: This dispenser is designed for use with potable bottled water only. Do not use any other liquids.
• Cleaning: Unplug the dispenser before cleaning. Do not immerse the dispenser in water.

Setup

1. Unpacking

• Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging.
• Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
• Remove all protective packaging materials, including tape and labels.

2. Placement

• Place the dispenser on a hard, level surface capable of supporting its weight when full.
• Ensure there is at least 4 inches of clearance from the back and sides of the dispenser to a wall or other objects for proper ventilation.
• Avoid placing the dispenser in direct sunlight or near heat-generating appliances.

3. Water Bottle Installation

This dispenser uses a bottom-loading system for 3 or 5-gallon water bottles.

1. Open the lower cabinet door of the dispenser.
2. Place a new 3 or 5-gallon water bottle on the floor next to the dispenser.
3. Remove the cap from the water bottle.
4. Insert the probe from the dispenser into the opening of the water bottle. Ensure the probe is fully inserted.
5. Carefully slide the water bottle into the lower cabinet.
6. Close the cabinet door securely.

4. Initial Startup

1. Once the water bottle is installed, plug the dispenser into a grounded 120V AC outlet.
2. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the hot and cold tanks to fill and reach their optimal temperatures. The indicator lights on the front of the dispenser will illuminate when the water is ready.
3. Before first use, dispense and discard at least 1 liter of water from both the hot and cold faucets to flush the system.

Dispensing Cold Water

• Place your cup or glass under the cold water faucet (typically blue).
• Press the cold water dispensing lever.
• Release the lever when your desired amount of water has been dispensed.

Dispensing Hot Water

The hot water faucet is equipped with a child safety feature to prevent accidental dispensing of hot water.

• Place your cup or mug under the hot water faucet (typically red).
• Simultaneously push the child safety lock button (usually located above the hot water lever) and press the hot water dispensing lever.
• Release both the button and the lever when your desired amount of hot water has been dispensed.

Empty Bottle Indicator

The dispenser features an indicator light that illuminates when the water bottle in the lower cabinet is empty and needs to be replaced.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Exterior

• Unplug the dispenser from the power outlet.
• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
• Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Draining the Tanks (Recommended Annually)

• Unplug the dispenser and remove the water bottle.
• Place a large bucket or container under the drain plug located at the back or bottom of the dispenser.
• Carefully remove the drain plug to allow water to empty from the tanks.
• Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
• Follow the "Initial Startup" steps to refill and prepare the dispenser for use.

Descaling (If Mineral Buildup Occurs)

If you notice reduced water flow or a change in taste, mineral buildup may be present. Consult the manufacturer's website or customer support for specific descaling instructions, as procedures can vary.
