Maintenance
Water Resistance
The SKMEI 1358 watch is water resistant to 5ATM (50 meters / 164 feet). This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is not recommended for diving or prolonged submersion. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.
Cleaning
To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or components.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses a CR2032 battery. When the battery is low, the display may dim or functions may become unreliable. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified technician to ensure the water resistance seal is maintained.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inaccurate Compass Reading | Magnetic interference; needs calibration. | Perform compass calibration as described in the Setup section. Avoid strong magnetic fields. |
| Incorrect Altimeter Reading | Changes in atmospheric pressure; needs calibration. | Calibrate the altimeter at a known altitude. |
| Display is Dim or Blank | Low battery. | Replace the CR2032 battery. |
| Buttons Not Responding | Watch is wet; temporary software glitch. | Ensure the watch is dry before operating buttons. If unresponsive, try a soft reset (refer to full manual if available) or wait for the battery to drain and replace. |
