Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your kettle.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the kettle is unplugged from the power outlet and has completely cooled down.
- Kettle Body, Lid, and Accessories: Wash the borosilicate glass kettle body, lid, tea strainer, yogurt box, and egg holder with warm, soapy water. Use a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are generally safe for hand washing.
- Power Base: Wipe the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the power base in water or any other liquid. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar (or a commercial descaling solution). Bring to a boil and let it soak for 15-30 minutes, or as directed by the descaling solution. Empty the kettle and rinse several times with fresh water.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle and its accessories in a clean, dry place.
