3. Setup and Battery Installation
3.1 Initial Use
The magnifying glass comes with 2x CR2016 3V batteries pre-installed. It is ready for immediate use.
3.2 Replacing Batteries
When the LED light dims or fails to illuminate, the batteries need to be replaced. Follow these steps:
- Locate the small cross-head screw on the battery compartment cover.
- Carefully remove the screw using a suitable screwdriver.
- Gently tap the lamp against the palm of your hand to dislodge the round battery cover.
- Remove the old CR2016 3V button cell batteries.
- Insert two new CR2016 3V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Extending the Magnifying Lens
To use the magnifying glass, gently slide the lens out from the protective plastic casing. The lens is designed to swing out laterally from the side of the housing.

4.2 Automatic LED Light Activation
The extra bright white LED light will automatically turn on when the lens is fully extended and ready for use. This provides illumination for clearer viewing.

4.4 Retracting the Lens
To turn off the LED light and protect the lens, simply swing the lens back into its protective plastic casing. The LED light will automatically turn off when the lens is fully retracted.
