4.5 Recommended Hanging Heights
Consider the following guidelines for optimal placement:

Image 4.2: Dining room chandelier hanging height recommendation: 30-34 inches above the table, with fixture width 32-48 inches or table width minus 12 inches.

Image 4.3: Kitchen island pendant hanging height recommendation: 30-36 inches above the countertop, with 12 inches space from ends of island and 24 inches between fixtures.

Image 4.4: Stairwell chandelier hanging height recommendation: For an 18-foot ceiling, a 45-inch tall fixture with a 27-inch chain/stem would result in the bottom of the fixture being 144 inches from the floor.
5. Operation
Once installed and bulbs are in place, restore power at the circuit breaker. The chandelier can then be operated via a standard wall switch or compatible dimmer switch (control method: touch, referring to wall switch operation). Ensure the bulbs used are compatible with any dimmer system.
6. Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your chandelier:
- Cleaning: Turn off power before cleaning. Wipe the polished nickel finish with a soft, dry cloth. For glass shades, use a mild glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off and bulbs have cooled before replacing. Use E26 medium base bulbs, not exceeding 100 watts per socket.

- Ensure bulbs are screwed in tightly and are not burnt out.
- Verify all electrical connections are secure.
