Setup Instructions
Clean the Fountain: Before first use, thoroughly clean all parts of the fountain (bowl, lid, spout, pump, filter housing) with warm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
Prepare the Filter: Soak the activated carbon filter in water for 2 minutes and rinse it thoroughly under running water. This prevents activated carbon dust from shedding into the water. (Note: Activated carbon dust is harmless to pets).
Assemble the Pump: Ensure the pump is clean. If disassembled for cleaning, reassemble the impeller and impeller cap into the pump body. Place the pre-filter sponge over the pump intake.
Place the Pump: Position the DC pump at the bottom of the fountain bowl, securing it with its suction cups. Route the power cord through the designated channel in the bowl.
Add Water: Fill the fountain bowl with water. The water level should be above the pump's water outlet and below the maximum fill line (approximately 3/4 of the bowl height). Using distilled or purified water is recommended to prolong pump life and reduce mineral buildup.
Install Filter and Lid: Place the prepared filter into the filter tray, then place the filter tray onto the pump. Position the lid securely on the fountain bowl.
Attach Spout: Insert the flower-shaped spout onto the pump's water outlet on the lid.
Connect Power: Connect the DC pump cable to the adapter, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the fountain is placed on the silicone mat to catch any splashes.

Operating Instructions
The Veken Pet Fountain offers three different water flow designs to cater to your pet's preferences:
- Flower Waterfall: Provides multiple streams of water, mimicking a natural waterfall. This mode is often attractive to pets who enjoy drinking from faucets.
- Flower Bubble: Creates a bubbling surface, ideal for pets who prefer a calmer, gently flowing water source.
- Gentle Fountain: Removes the flower spout for a still water surface with a slight ripple, suitable for pets who are shy or prefer traditional water bowls.
To change the flow design, simply adjust or remove the flower-shaped spout from the pump's water outlet on the lid.
