The AVANTEK CB-12 system consists of a waterproof push-button transmitter and two plug-in receivers. Each component features an LED indicator for visual alerts.

Setup and Installation

1. Transmitter Installation:

Choose a suitable location for the transmitter, such as near your front door. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.

  1. Method A: Using Adhesive Tape
    • Clean the installation area thoroughly.
    • Peel off one side of the adhesive tape and attach it to the back of the transmitter.
    • Peel off the other side of the tape and firmly press the transmitter onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Method B: Using Screws and Anchors
    • Open the transmitter casing using the provided screwdriver.
    • Mark the positions for drilling holes on the wall using the back plate as a template.
    • Drill two holes and insert the anchors.
    • Secure the back plate to the wall with the screws.
    • Reattach the front part of the transmitter to the secured back plate.

2. Receiver Installation:

Plug the receivers into standard electrical outlets in locations where you want to hear the doorbell chime. The 1000 ft (300 m) wireless range allows for flexible placement throughout your home.

Operating Instructions

1. Pairing the Transmitter and Receiver:

The transmitter and receivers are pre-paired at the factory. If re-pairing is needed or if you add new components:

  1. Plug the receiver into a power outlet.
  2. Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. Immediately press the transmitter (push button). The receiver will chime and the LED will flash slowly, indicating successful pairing.
  4. If pairing multiple transmitters, repeat the process for each one.

2. Changing Melodies:

The receiver offers 52 different melodies.

3. Adjusting Volume:

There are 5 adjustable volume levels, from silent (0 dB) to a maximum of 115 dB.

4. Memory Function:

The receiver retains your last selected melody and volume level even after a power outage, eliminating the need for re-configuration.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement (Transmitter):

The transmitter uses a CR2 battery with an estimated lifespan of 3 years. When the LED indicator on the transmitter no longer lights up or the range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the battery.

2. Cleaning:

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting
