4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2. Placement
For accurate readings, always place the scale on a flat, hard, and stable surface. Avoid soft surfaces like carpets or uneven countertops.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The back-lit LCD display will illuminate, and the scale will enter weighing mode, typically displaying "0.0". To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds.
5.2. Unit Conversion
With the scale on, press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb:oz), milliliters (ml), and fluid ounces (fl'oz). A long press on the UNIT button can switch between metric and imperial systems for temperature display.

5.3. Zero/Tare Function
The ZERO/TARE button allows you to reset the display to zero, effectively subtracting the weight of a container or previous ingredients. This is useful for weighing multiple ingredients in the same bowl.
- Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
- Press the ZERO/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0".
- Add your ingredient to the container. The display will show only the weight of the added ingredient.

5.4. Alarm Timer and Clock
The T-SET button functions as both a timer and a clock. In idle standing mode, the scale displays time and temperature. To set the timer, simply click T-SET; the clock display in the upper right-hand corner will begin to flicker. Adjust the desired stop time using the ZERO/TARE (up) or UNIT (down) buttons. The timer will count down and sound an alarm when finished.
