4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Placement

For accurate readings, always place the scale on a flat, hard, and stable surface. Avoid soft surfaces like carpets or uneven countertops.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The back-lit LCD display will illuminate, and the scale will enter weighing mode, typically displaying "0.0". To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds.

5.2. Unit Conversion

With the scale on, press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb:oz), milliliters (ml), and fluid ounces (fl'oz). A long press on the UNIT button can switch between metric and imperial systems for temperature display.

5.3. Zero/Tare Function

The ZERO/TARE button allows you to reset the display to zero, effectively subtracting the weight of a container or previous ingredients. This is useful for weighing multiple ingredients in the same bowl.

1. Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
2. Press the ZERO/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0".
3. Add your ingredient to the container. The display will show only the weight of the added ingredient.

5.4. Alarm Timer and Clock

The T-SET button functions as both a timer and a clock. In idle standing mode, the scale displays time and temperature. To set the timer, simply click T-SET; the clock display in the upper right-hand corner will begin to flicker. Adjust the desired stop time using the ZERO/TARE (up) or UNIT (down) buttons. The timer will count down and sound an alarm when finished.

7. Troubleshooting

• "Lo" or "Err" Display: This indicates low battery. Replace the two 1.5V AAA batteries.
• "O-Ld" Display: This indicates an overload. The maximum weight capacity is 11lb (5kg). Remove items immediately to prevent damage.
• Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scale is placed on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing it near strong electromagnetic fields or extreme temperature changes. Recalibrate if necessary by turning it off and on.
• Display Not Turning On: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted.
