Setup
Assembly of the Wooden Furniture Stand
Carefully unpack all components. Assemble the wooden furniture stand according to the instructions provided in the stand's manual. Ensure all screws are securely fastened for stability. The digital piano unit then rests securely on top of the assembled stand.
Connecting Components
- Power Supply: Connect the PA-150 power adapter to the DC IN 12V port on the rear of the digital piano and then to a standard electrical outlet.
- Sustain Pedal: Plug the sustain pedal into the dedicated SUSTAIN port on the rear panel.
- Headphones: For private practice, connect standard headphones to the HEADPHONES jack.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Volume
Locate the power button and master volume slider on the top left panel of the piano. Press the power button to turn the instrument on or off. Adjust the master volume slider to your desired listening level.
Voice Selection
The Yamaha P45 features 10 preset voices. To select a voice, press and hold the 'GRAND PIANO/FUNCTION' button, then press one of the keys from A0 to A1 (the lowest octave) corresponding to the desired voice. The available voices include Grand Piano (2 variations), Electric Piano (2 variations), Organ (2 variations), Strings, Harpsichord, and Vibraphone.
Weighted Action Keys
The 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard provides a realistic acoustic piano feel, with heavier touch in the lower register and lighter touch in the higher register. This touch sensitivity can be adjusted (Hard/Medium/Soft/Fixed) via the function settings.
Metronome and Tempo
Activate the built-in metronome by pressing the 'METRONOME' button. Adjust the tempo using the '+' and '-' buttons. The tempo range is 32 to 280 beats per minute.
Connectivity (USB TO HOST)
The USB TO HOST port allows connection to a computer or mobile device for use with various educational, music creation, or entertainment applications. This enables MIDI data transfer.
