3.1 Installation Requirements

3.2 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the interior unit of the lock.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the 8 AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  5. The lock will emit an audible signal indicating successful power-up.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Access Methods

The FR 330 offers four convenient ways to unlock your door:

  1. Biometric (Fingerprint):

    Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will verify your fingerprint and unlock the door. Ensure your finger is clean and dry for optimal recognition.

  2. Password:

    Touch the keypad to activate it. Enter your registered numerical password followed by the '#' key. The lock will confirm the password and unlock.

  3. Proximity Tag:

    Hold a registered proximity tag or adhesive tag near the card reader area on the lock. The lock will recognize the tag and unlock.

  4. Physical Key:

    In case of emergency or battery depletion, insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock the door manually.

4.2 Automatic Locking

The FR 330 is equipped with an automatic locking feature. After the door is closed, the lock will automatically engage the bolt after a short, configurable delay. This ensures the door is always secured without manual intervention.

4.3 Do Not Disturb Function

To activate the "Do Not Disturb" function, locate the corresponding button or setting on the interior unit. When active, this function prevents external access attempts, providing enhanced privacy and security from the inside.

5.1 Battery Replacement

The lock will provide a low battery warning when the batteries need replacement. To replace them, follow the steps outlined in Section 3.2. Always use 8 new AA alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
