Setup
1. Powering the Machine
Your sewing machine can be powered by either 4 AA batteries (not included) or the included AC power adapter.
- Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the machine. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.
- Using AC Adapter: Insert the small plug of the AC adapter into the power input port on the machine. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
Note: Do not use both power sources simultaneously.
2. Threading the Machine
Proper threading is crucial for correct stitching.
Upper Threading:
- Place a spool of thread onto the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the first thread guide (usually a metal loop).
- Pass the thread through the tension discs, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Guide the thread through the take-up lever (the moving arm).
- Thread the needle from front to back. Use the provided threader if needed.

Lower Bobbin:
- Open the bobbin compartment cover.
- Insert a wound bobbin into the compartment, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
- Pull the bobbin thread through the small slot in the bobbin case.
- Close the bobbin compartment cover.
- Turn the handwheel manually to lower the needle, catching the bobbin thread. Pull both upper and lower threads to the back under the presser foot.
3. Connecting the Foot Pedal
Insert the foot pedal plug into the foot pedal port on the side of the machine. The foot pedal allows for hands-free speed control.
Operating Instructions
1. Preparing to Sew
- Place the fabric under the presser foot.
- Lower the presser foot using the lever on the back of the needle bar.
- Ensure both upper and lower threads are pulled to the back under the presser foot.
2. Starting to Sew
The machine offers two speed settings and can be operated via the power switch or the foot pedal.
- Using the Power Switch: Slide the power switch to the 'L' position for low speed or 'H' for high speed. The machine will start sewing immediately.
- Using the Foot Pedal: Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position. Press the foot pedal to start sewing. Release the pedal to stop. The speed is controlled by the pressure applied to the pedal.
The machine features a double stitch system for secure seams.

3. Finishing a Seam
- Stop the machine by releasing the foot pedal or sliding the power switch to 'OFF'.
- Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the handwheel.
- Lift the presser foot.
- Pull the fabric gently away from the machine.
- Cut the threads, leaving approximately 10-15 cm of thread.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the machine.
- Periodically remove the bobbin case and use a small brush to clean lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs.
2. Needle Replacement
- Ensure the machine is unplugged.
- Raise the needle to its highest position.
- Loosen the needle clamp screw.
- Remove the old needle and insert a new one, ensuring the flat side of the needle faces the back.
- Tighten the needle clamp screw securely.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Machine not starting: Check if the power adapter is properly connected or if batteries are correctly inserted and charged. Ensure the power switch is in the 'L' or 'H' position, or the foot pedal is pressed if using it.
- Skipped stitches: Re-thread the machine completely, ensuring the thread is correctly seated in all guides and tension discs. Replace the needle if it is bent or dull.
- Thread breaking: Check thread tension (it might be too tight). Ensure the thread is not tangled or snagged. Use good quality thread. Check for burrs on the needle or bobbin case.
- Fabric not moving: Ensure the presser foot is lowered. Check for lint buildup under the presser foot or around the feed dogs.
- Uneven stitches: Verify that both upper and lower threads are correctly threaded and tensioned.
