3. Before First Use
Before using your AUCMA Air Fryer for the first time, follow these steps:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels.
- Clean: Wash the cooking basket and grill tray thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry completely. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Initial Heating: Place the air fryer on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Plug it in. Run the appliance for approximately 10 minutes at 180°C (350°F) without any food inside. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this process; this is normal.
- Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool down completely after the initial heating cycle.
4. Setup
Proper setup ensures safe and efficient operation of your air fryer.
- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space around the back and sides of the appliance to allow for proper air circulation. Do not place it directly against a wall or under cabinets.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is fully extended and securely plugged into a grounded electrical outlet. The air fryer operates on 1350 Watts.
- Basket Insertion: Insert the grill tray into the cooking basket, then slide the cooking basket firmly into the main unit until it clicks into place.

Operating your AUCMA Air Fryer is straightforward with its LCD control panel.
5.1 Basic Operation
- Power On: Plug in the appliance. The display will light up briefly. Press the power button (⏻) to turn on the air fryer.
- Preheating (Optional): For best results, preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes. Set the desired temperature using the temperature controls (∧ / ∨) and time using the time controls (+ / -), then press the start button.
- Load Food: Carefully pull out the cooking basket using the handle. Place your food onto the grill tray inside the basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
- Set Temperature and Time: Slide the basket back into the air fryer. Use the temperature controls (∧ / ∨) to adjust the cooking temperature (e.g., 80°C - 200°C). Use the time controls (+ / -) to set the cooking time (e.g., 1-60 minutes).
- Start Cooking: Press the start button to begin the cooking process. The fan and heating element will activate.
- Shaking/Tossing (Mid-cycle): For some foods, especially smaller items like fries, it is recommended to shake or toss the food halfway through the cooking time. Carefully pull out the basket, shake the contents, and reinsert the basket. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically.
- End of Cooking: The air fryer will beep when the set cooking time has elapsed. Carefully pull out the basket and transfer the cooked food to a plate.
- Power Off: Press the power button (⏻) to turn off the appliance. Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use.
5.2 Preset Functions
The LCD display offers several preset cooking functions for common food items. These presets automatically set optimal temperature and time, which can be adjusted manually if needed.

Image 5.1: The air fryer's LCD control panel, showing touch icons for various food presets such as French Fries, Shrimps, Cake, Chicken wings, Purple potato, Fish, Thawing, and Pork ribs.
To use a preset function:
- Turn on the air fryer.
- Press the 'Menu' button (often represented by a list icon or 'CD' on the display) to cycle through the available presets.
- Once the desired preset icon is selected, the display will show the default temperature and time.
- You can adjust the temperature and time manually using the ∧ / ∨ and + / - buttons if desired.
- Press the start button to begin cooking.
5.3 Healthier Cooking Principle
The air fryer cooks food by circulating hot air rapidly around the food, creating a crispy exterior similar to deep-frying but with significantly less oil. This process also helps to drain excess fat from the food.

Image 5.2: An internal view diagram illustrating how hot air circulates evenly throughout the air fryer to cook food, highlighting the oil-less cooking process.

Image 5.3: A visual comparison highlighting the benefits of air frying (less fat, healthier, no fumes) versus traditional deep frying (more fat, unhealthy, fume pollution).
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your air fryer and ensure optimal performance.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Clean Basket and Tray: Remove the cooking basket and grill tray. Wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn food residues, soak them in hot water for about 10 minutes. The basket and tray are typically dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to prolong their non-stick coating.
- Clean Interior: Wipe the inside of the appliance with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the air fryer. Store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your air fryer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Air fryer does not turn on. | Appliance is not plugged in. Power button not pressed. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Press the power button (⏻) on the control panel. |
| Food is not cooked evenly. | Basket is overfilled. Food not shaken/tossed. | Do not overfill the basket; cook in smaller batches if necessary. Shake or toss food halfway through cooking for even results. |
| Food is not crispy. | Not enough oil (for certain foods). Temperature too low or time too short. | Lightly brush or spray food with oil for extra crispiness. Increase temperature or cooking time. |
| White smoke comes from the appliance. | Fat residue from previous use. Cooking fatty food. | Clean the basket and grill tray thoroughly after each use. For fatty foods, place a piece of aluminum foil under the grill tray to catch excess fat. |
| Appliance smells during first use. | Manufacturing residues burning off. | This is normal for the first few uses. Ensure good ventilation. The smell will dissipate. |
