Setup

Attaching the Lens

  1. Ensure your camera is turned off.
  2. Remove the body cap from your camera and the rear lens cap from the lens.
  3. Align the mounting mark (white dot) on the lens barrel with the mounting mark on the camera body.
  4. Rotate the lens counter-clockwise until it clicks into place. Do not force the lens.

Removing the Lens

  1. Turn off your camera.
  2. While pressing the lens release button on the camera body, rotate the lens clockwise until it detaches.
  3. Replace the front and rear lens caps to protect the lens elements.

Operating the Lens

Focus Mode Switch

The lens features an A/M (Autofocus with manual override) and M (Manual focus) switch. This switch is located on the side of the lens barrel.

Aperture Control

The aperture (f/1.8G) is controlled electronically via the camera body. There is no aperture ring on the lens. Adjust the aperture settings through your camera's menu or control dials.

Close-Range Correction (CRC) System

This lens incorporates Nikon's CRC system, which ensures high image quality even at close focusing distances. The lens elements are configured to move independently during focusing, optimizing performance across the entire focusing range.

Using Filters
