Important Safeguards
When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the iron.
- Use iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
- The iron should always be turned to OFF before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
- Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
- Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it to a qualified service person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate the iron on the same circuit with another high-wattage appliance.
- If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage can overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

Setup
Before first use, remove any labels, tags, or stickers from the iron body and soleplate. It is recommended to test the iron on an old piece of fabric to ensure no residue is left on the soleplate.
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
- Open the water fill cover located on the top of the iron.
- Using a clean measuring cup, carefully pour tap water into the water tank until it reaches the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
- Close the water fill cover securely.
Note: For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, distilled or demineralized water is recommended, especially in areas with hard water.

Operating Instructions
Temperature and Steam Control
- Plug the iron into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Turn the temperature dial to the desired fabric setting. Refer to the fabric guide on the iron or garment care labels.
- The Smart Steam Control automatically regulates and optimizes steam levels based on your selected temperature. For dry ironing, ensure the steam switch is set to the 'DRY' position.
- Wait for the indicator light to turn off, indicating the iron has reached the set temperature.
Using Spray Mist and Steam Burst
- Spray Mist: Press the spray mist button to dampen fabric and help smooth out wrinkles. This is useful for delicate fabrics or stubborn creases.
- Steam Burst: For tough wrinkles, press the steam burst button. This delivers a powerful shot of steam. Allow a few seconds between bursts for the steam to regenerate.
Vertical Steam
The iron can be used for vertical steaming to remove wrinkles from hanging garments, drapes, or upholstery.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the iron to a high temperature setting (e.g., Linen or Cotton) and allow it to heat up completely.
- Hold the iron vertically, a few inches away from the fabric.
- Press the steam burst button to release steam. Move the iron up and down over the wrinkled area.

Maintenance
Auto Clean System
The iron features an Auto Clean system to flush out mineral deposits and maintain optimal steam performance.
- Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' line.
- Plug in the iron and set the temperature to 'LINEN'.
- Once the iron reaches temperature (indicator light turns off), unplug it.
- Hold the iron over a sink, press and hold the Auto Clean button. Gently rock the iron back and forth until all water has drained.
- Release the Auto Clean button and place the iron on its heel to cool.
Cleaning the Soleplate
To clean the soleplate, wipe it with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners as they can scratch the soleplate.
Storage
Always store the iron vertically on its heel to prevent leaks and allow it to cool completely before storing. Loop the cord loosely around the iron.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Iron is not plugged in or power outlet is not working. | Check power connection and outlet. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank is empty; temperature setting is too low; steam vents are clogged. | Fill water tank; increase temperature setting; use Auto Clean function. |
| Water leaks from soleplate. | Temperature is too low for steam; water tank overfilled. | Increase temperature; do not overfill water tank. |
| Iron shuts off unexpectedly. | Automatic shutoff feature activated. | Move the iron to reactivate. This is a safety feature. |
