Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- After each use, unplug the device and allow it to cool completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all components are thoroughly dry before storage.
2. Descaling
To prevent mineral buildup, especially if using non-distilled water (though distilled water is recommended), perform descaling periodically. Fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water. Run the steamer for 5-10 minutes, then turn it off and let it sit for 30 minutes. Empty the tank and rinse thoroughly with distilled water. Run the steamer with plain distilled water once or twice to remove any vinegar residue.
3. Storage
Store the steamer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
- No Steam / Device Not Turning On: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Ensure the water tank has sufficient water above the 'MIN' line. The device has an auto-off function if water is too low.
- Weak Steam: Ensure the water tank is filled with distilled water. Mineral buildup can reduce steam output; perform descaling if necessary.
- Leakage: Ensure all attachments (hair cap or facial sprayer) are securely fastened to the main unit. Verify the water tank cover is tightly closed.
- Unusual Odor: A slight plastic odor may occur during initial uses. This is normal and should dissipate with continued use. Ensure proper ventilation.
