Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Kenmore 29" Front Load Gas Dryer. Designed for practical laundry care, this gas dryer features a spacious 7.0 cubic foot capacity, making it suitable for various load sizes, from everyday garments to large bedding items. Key technologies such as SmartDry and Wrinkle Guard are integrated to enhance drying performance and convenience.
The SmartDry technology utilizes drying sensors to automatically adjust temperatures and times, preventing over-drying and potential heat damage. The Wrinkle Guard option helps keep clothes crisp by periodically tumbling them after the drying cycle. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your dryer to ensure proper function and longevity.
Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and optimal performance of your gas dryer. This appliance requires a gas line connection and a 120-volt electrical outlet. Please note that power cords and exhaust vents are not included and must be purchased separately.
The dryer is designed for freestanding installation. Its dimensions are approximately 29 inches (W) x 28 inches (D) x 43 inches (H). When paired with a compatible Kenmore 20362 Top-Load Washer (sold separately), it creates a complete and efficient laundry system.

Loading the Dryer

Wrinkle Guard Feature
To prevent wrinkles from setting in, activate the Wrinkle Guard option. This feature will periodically tumble the load for up to 40 minutes after the main drying cycle completes, keeping clothes fresh until you can remove them.
Starting the Dryer
After loading clothes and selecting your desired cycle and temperature, press the 'Push to Start' button to begin the drying process.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your Kenmore Gas Dryer.
Lint Filter Cleaning
Clean the lint filter before or after every load. A clogged lint filter can reduce drying efficiency and pose a fire hazard. Simply pull out the lint filter, remove accumulated lint, and reinsert it.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your dryer, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Dryer does not start: Ensure the dryer is properly plugged into a functioning electrical outlet and the door is fully closed. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
- Clothes are not drying: Verify that the lint filter is clean and the exhaust vent is not obstructed. Ensure the correct drying cycle and temperature are selected for the load size and fabric type.
- Unusual noises: Check for foreign objects in the drum. If noises persist, contact customer support.
