3. Installation

The Delta In2ition shower head is designed for DIY installation onto a standard shower arm. No specialized tools are typically required beyond a wrench and plumber's tape.

3.1 Preparation

  1. Turn off the water supply to your shower.
  2. Remove your existing shower head by unscrewing it counter-clockwise from the shower arm.
  3. Clean any old plumber's tape or sealant from the shower arm threads.

3.2 Attaching the Shower Head

  1. Apply plumber's tape clockwise around the threads of the shower arm.
  2. Screw the main shower head assembly onto the shower arm by hand until snug.
  3. Use a wrench to tighten an additional quarter to half turn. Do not overtighten.
  4. Attach the flexible hose to the handheld spray unit and to the designated connection point on the main shower head assembly. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final snug turn.

Important: Check for leaks after turning the water supply back on. If leaks occur, tighten connections slightly or reapply plumber's tape.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Delta In2ition shower head offers four distinct spray settings and the flexibility to use the main shower head, handheld spray, or both simultaneously.

4.1 Spray Settings

Rotate the dial on the face of the shower head to cycle through the following spray patterns:

  • Powerful Full Body Spray: Provides a strong, invigorating spray for a complete rinse.
  • Massaging Spray: A concentrated, pulsating spray for muscle relaxation.
  • Full Body Spray with Massage: Combines the full body spray with the massaging spray for a comprehensive experience.
  • Pause: Reduces water flow to a trickle, conserving water during tasks like lathering or shaving without changing temperature settings.

4.2 Using the Handheld Spray

The handheld spray can be detached from the main shower head for increased flexibility. A diverter lever on the main unit allows you to switch between the main shower head, the handheld spray, or both simultaneously.

  • To detach the handheld spray, gently pull it from its seated position in the main shower head.
  • To reattach, align the handheld spray with the main unit and push it firmly into place until it clicks securely.
  • Use the diverter lever to select your desired water output mode.

5.1 Cleaning Spray Holes

The Delta In2ition features Touch-Clean spray holes. Mineral residue and lime build-up can be easily removed by simply wiping the rubber nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth. This eliminates the need for chemical cleaners or soaking.
