After wiring, mount the thermostat securely to the wall box using the provided screws. Restore power at the circuit breaker.
Initial Power-On and Wi-Fi Connection
Upon first power-on, the thermostat will display the current room temperature and time.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: The thermostat supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya" app on your smartphone.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. This typically involves putting the thermostat into pairing mode (refer to the app for specific button combinations, often holding a button for several seconds until a Wi-Fi icon flashes).
- Once connected, you can control the thermostat remotely via the app.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the thermostat on or off.
- Temperature Adjustment: In manual mode, use the ▼ (Decrease) and ▲ (Increase) buttons to set your desired temperature. The set temperature will be displayed.
- Mode Selection: Press the "SET" button to cycle through different modes (Manual, Program, Holiday).
Weekly Programming
The thermostat offers flexible programming options (5/2 days, 6/1 days, or 7/0 days) with up to 6 time periods per day. This allows you to optimize heating schedules for energy savings.
- Press the "SET" button until "Program" mode is active.
- Use the "SET" button to navigate through the programming periods (e.g., P1, P2, P3...).
- Use the ▼ and ▲ buttons to adjust the start time and desired temperature for each period.
- Press "OK" to confirm settings for each period.
- The thermostat will automatically follow the programmed schedule.
App and Voice Control
- Smart Life/Tuya App: Once connected to Wi-Fi, use the app to remotely adjust temperature, create schedules, set up smart scenes, and share control with family members.
- Voice Assistants (Alexa/Google Assistant): Link your Smart Life/Tuya account with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can then use voice commands like "Alexa, set the living room thermostat to 22 degrees" to control your heating.
Advanced Functions
- Open Window Detection: This feature automatically pauses heating if a rapid drop in room temperature is detected, preventing energy waste. This function can be enabled/disabled in the settings menu (refer to the full digital manual or app for specific steps).
- Child Lock: To prevent accidental changes, activate the child lock function. This typically involves holding a combination of buttons for a few seconds.
- Temperature Calibration: If you notice a discrepancy between the thermostat's reading and an accurate thermometer, you can calibrate the temperature in the advanced settings.
- Data Storage: The thermostat retains your settings even after a power outage.
Maintenance
The Zerodis thermostat requires minimal maintenance.
- Clean the screen and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the thermostat's vents (if any) are not obstructed to allow for accurate temperature sensing.
- Periodically check wiring connections for tightness, especially after initial installation.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your thermostat, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Thermostat display is blank. | No power supply. | Check the circuit breaker. Ensure wiring connections are correct and secure. |
| Heating not turning on/off as expected. | Incorrect mode (e.g., Manual instead of Program), incorrect temperature setting, wiring issue. | Verify the operating mode and temperature settings. Check heating load wiring. |
| Wi-Fi connection fails. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password, 5GHz network, router too far, pairing mode not active. | Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Re-enter password. Move router closer or use a Wi-Fi extender. Re-initiate pairing mode on the thermostat. |
| Inaccurate temperature reading. | Thermostat location, external sensor issue, calibration needed. | Ensure thermostat is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources. If using an external sensor, check its connection. Perform temperature calibration if necessary. |
| Touch buttons are overly sensitive. | Normal operation, or accidental touches. | Activate the child lock function to prevent unintended changes. |
