This manual provides instructions for the Zerone universal replacement remote control, designed for use with Gree air conditioner models Y502 and Y512. Setup
Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Press down on the latch and slide the battery cover off.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use without any additional programming or setup.
Operating Instructions
To operate your air conditioner, point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit. The effective operating range is up to 10 meters.

- ON/OFF Button: Press this button to power the air conditioner on or off.
- MODE Button: Press repeatedly to cycle through the available operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto). The current mode will be displayed on the remote's screen.
- Temperature Adjustment (+/-) Buttons: Use these buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature setting.
- FAN Button: Adjusts the fan speed. Press to cycle through different fan speed settings (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
- SWING Button: Activates or deactivates the automatic louver swing function, directing airflow.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement and Storage
If the remote control's display becomes dim, or its responsiveness decreases, it is time to replace the batteries. Always replace both AAA batteries at the same time with new ones. When storing the remote control for extended periods (e.g., during off-season), remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage to the device.
