5. Installation Requirements

Before installation, ensure your sink or countertop meets the following specifications:

  • Pre-drilled Hole Size: Minimum 32mm, Maximum 35mm.
  • Countertop Thickness: Maximum 35mm.
  • Water Connections: Standard DIN connections for hot and cold water supply.

6. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Eridanus Mixer Tap:

  1. Prepare the Area: Turn off the main water supply to the installation area. Clear the space under the sink/basin.
  2. Attach Hoses: Screw the flexible hot and cold water supply hoses into the base of the faucet. Ensure they are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a quarter turn to secure.
  3. Insert Faucet: Place the faucet through the pre-drilled hole in the sink or countertop.
  4. Secure Faucet: From underneath the sink, slide the rubber washer, then the metal washer, and finally the mounting nut onto the threaded shank of the faucet. Tighten the mounting nut securely with a wrench to prevent movement.
  5. Connect Water Supply: Connect the flexible hoses to the corresponding hot and cold water supply lines. The hoses are typically 500mm long with G1/2 connections. Ensure these connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  6. Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections further.
  7. Flush the System: Open the faucet handle to allow water to flow for a few minutes. This flushes out any debris from the new installation.

7. Operating Instructions

The Eridanus Mixer Tap features a single lever for controlling both water flow and temperature.

  • Water Flow: Lift the lever upwards to increase water flow. Push it downwards to decrease or stop the flow.
  • Temperature Control: Move the lever to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. Adjust the position between left and right to achieve the desired water temperature.

8. Maintenance and Care

Regular cleaning and proper care will help maintain the appearance and functionality of your faucet.

  • Cleaning the Finish: Clean the chrome finish with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, ammonia, bleach, or other harsh chemicals, as these can damage the chrome finish and internal components.
  • Aerator Maintenance: If water flow becomes restricted or uneven, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the spout, clean any debris or mineral deposits, and reattach it.
